2010 – 2014 Over the past 10 years, Metropolitan has disbursed $400,000 in grants to 22 colleges, benefitting 44 teams and 400 students.

• EACH COLLEGE MUST SUBMIT A W-9 FORM BEFORE AN INVOICE CAN BE SUBMITTED
As needed, the contract is reviewed and signed by (1 – 2 of) the following:
Faculty Advisor
Grants / Contracts Administrator
School Chancellor or President
General Counsel
The faculty advisor may need to facilitate the approval process.
Metropolitan is revising the contract template for the college funding agreements, to include an excerpt from OMB Circular A-21: Section K – Certification of Charges.
Quarterly submission of narrative and fiscal reports
Faculty cover letter (with signature) will accompany all expenditure reports
Expenditure reports must include copies of invoices, receipts and (if applicable) timesheets, accompanied by a General Ledger report
Funds might be disallowed for non-compliance.
Per the guidelines set forth by the United States Bureau of Reclamation, all inventions or intellectual property rights belong to the college.
However, the WWF sponsors reserve the right to exhibit the prototypes and/or publish the final reports.
MWD will schedule at least one site visit to assess your progress.
Metropolitan will try to provide 2 weeks notice
Pending availability, the following people might attend:

Pending management approval
Not issued for every site visit
PROGRESS REPORTS
FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, FACULTY & STUDENTS SHALL:
- Provide 2 weeks notice, when possible - Coordinate all site visits with Benita Horn - Upon arrival and departure, check in with designated liaison / staff member - Wear appropriate safety gear when working with chemicals - As needed, attend a safety training session
AS A REMINDER, THE GRANT FUNDS MAY BE USED FOR CONFERENCE REGISTRATION & MILEAGE.
THE FUNDS MAY NOT BE USED FOR AIRFARE, CAR RENTAL OR LODGING.
THE DETAILS WILL BE OUTLINED IN EXHIBIT “D” OF THE CONTRACT.
USBR requires 3 bids for purchases above $1,000
This does not require a formal bidding process
For example, you may conduct a telephone or internet search comparing three (3) prices and attach your written summary to the expenditure report
As a reminder, each college will provide three (3) narrative (progress) and expenditure reports to MWD during the course of the contract
LOGOS Please include the names and logos of the funding sponsors on project-related documents or publications. Metropolitan must review the documents before they are printed.
