2,422 acres of sacred tribal lands

in the Tonto National Forest in

Southeast Arizona referred to as

"Oak Flat" was handed to a

mining company.

Resolution Copper plans to

remove 1 cubic mile of ore that

is located 7,000 feet

underground because that is the

cheapest form of mining.

Resolution Copper admits that

the surface of Oak Flat will

subside and ultimately collapse,

destroying forever the Tribal

sacred areas
