Hydraulic fluidWe recommend using high-quality pressure liquids based on mineral oil, such as HLP orHVLP oils to DIN 51 524, Parts 2 and 3. The viscosity should be 32 mm²/s at 40°C.

Standard temperature range: -10 to 70°C.IMPORTANT! For other pressure liquids, such as phosphoric ester, prior

consultation is essential.

SealsFor operation with pressure liquids based on mineral oil, standard Buna N seals areused. IMPORTANT! For synthetic pressure liquids, such as phosphoric ester, or

temperatures up to 100°C, Viton seals must be used. Prior consultation essential.

FiltersFunctional dependability and useful lifetime of pumps and other components will besignificantly improved if an effective filtration system is used to ensure that the cleanlinessof the pressure liquid conforms to a defined purity class (e.g. to ISO 4406).Filter elements should meet the quality requirements of valid ISO standards.

Minimum recommendation for the filter fineness x(µm):General hydraulic systems with conditional functional dependability:

Class 19/15, to ISO 4406x = 25 µm (β25 µ 75) in accordance with ISO 4572

Systems with enhanced functional dependability and extended lifetime of the components:Class 16/13, to ISO 4572x = 10 µm (β10 µ 75) in accordance with ISO 4572

Pneumatic Hydraulic Power Unit Type PHKE

General Description

The PHKE, is a double-acting, free-piston compressed air drivenhydraulic pump of infinitely variable delivery, for general use however acompressed air supply is available.

The pump has controls for automatic cycling in accordance with systemdemand, and stalls under zero flow conditions to maintain systempressure for as long as necessary with minimum energy consumption.

With given air supply pressure and volume, the corresponding flow rateand pressure of the fluid depends on the intensification ratio of thepump.
