From the Gingham - Red (B), cut:• (2) 2 ½” x 36 ½” WOF strips.• (2) 2 ½” x 32 ½” WOF strips.• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 54 ½” strips.• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 49 ½” strips.

1. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 35 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of the 27 ½” x 35 ½” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 29 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 28 ½” x 36 ½” to make the Center Block (Fig. 1).

2. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric E strip to the left side of (1) 3 ½” Fabric I square to make the top row. Sew (1) 3 ½” Fabric I square to the left end of (1) 3 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric F strip to make the bottom row. Sew the (2) rows together lengthwise to make (1) Unit 1 strip (Fig. 2). Repeat to make (3) Unit 1 strips total.

3. Repeat Step 2 and refer to Figures 3-5 for fabric identification, placement and orientation to make (3) Unit 2 strips, (3) Unit 3 strips and (3) Unit 4 strips.

5. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 4” Fabric H strip to the top of (1) 3 ½” x 4” Fabric G strip to make (1) 4” x 6 ½” Unit 6 strip (Fig. 7). Repeat to make a second Unit 6 strip.

4. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 4” Fabric G strip to the top of (1) 3 ½” x 4” Fabric H strip to make (1) 4” x 6 ½” Unit 5 strip (Fig. 6). Repeat to make a second Unit 5 strip.

8. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 5” Fabric K strip to the left side of (1) 3 ½” x 5” Fabric H strip to make (1) Unit 9 strip (Fig. 10). Repeat to make a second Unit 9 strip.

9. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 5” Fabric H strip to the left side of (1) 3 ½” x 5” Fabric K strip to make (1) Unit 10 strip (Fig. 11). Repeat to make a second Unit 10 strip.

12. Sew together (1) 6 ½” Fabric D square, (1) Unit 1 strip, (1) Unit 5 strip, (1) Unit 2 strip, (1) Unit 5 strip, (1) Unit 1 strip and (1) 6 ½” Fabric D square, in that order, to make the Top Border (Fig. 14).

13. Sew together (1) 6 ½” Fabric D square, (1) Unit 2 strip, (1) Unit 6 strip, (1) Unit 1 strip, (1) Unit 6 strip, (1) Unit 2 strip and (1) 6 ½” Fabric D square, in that order, to make the Bottom Border (Fig. 15).

10. Sew together (1) Unit 7 strip, (1) Unit 3 strip, (1) Unit 9 strip, (1) Unit 4 strip, (1) Unit 9 strip, (1) Unit 3 strip and (1) Unit 7 strip, in that order and from top to bottom, to make the Left Side Border (Fig. 12).

11. Sew together (1) Unit 8 strip, (1) Unit 4 strip, (1) Unit 10 strip, (1) Unit 3 strip, (1) Unit 10 strip, (1) Unit 4 strip and (1) Unit 8 strip, in that order and from top to bottom, to make the Right Side Border (Fig. 13).

15. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 40 ½” Fabric C strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 34 ½” Fabric C strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

16. Sew the Left Side Border and Right Side Border to the left and to the right of the Center Block. Sew the Top Border and Bottom Borders to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

17. Sew (1) 2” x 54 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2” x 49 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

18. Layer and quilt as desired.

19. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric J strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

20. Bind as desired.
