How to get our Samples and Data?

http://life.uni-leipzig.de/en/service/contact.html

• Be part of the University Leipzig or a collaboratingpartner (or contact us for advice)

• Inform about cohorts and data in the LIFE data portal(ldp.life.uni-leipzig.de)

• Write a project proposal and inform all respectivescientists and principle investigators about theproposal

• Present the proposal to the „Use and Access Committee“ (meets once per month)

• Contact LIFE-Data Management / Biobank after approval of the proposal to schedule logistics

Summary

• The Leipzig Research Center for Civilisation Diseasescollected biosamples and data in a population based way.

• Within the last years the infrastructure of the LIFE-Biobankwas used to collect samples and data from cancer patients. The Leipzig Medical Biobank (LMB) was born.

• Samples and data from the Leipzig Medical Biobank wereused for different kinds of projects.

• The Leipzig Medical Biobank is part of the German BiobankAlliance reaching out to different Stakeholders in order toharmonize and standardize biobanking processes in differentparts of the biobanking field.
