Her 2002 London debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra was followed by invitations from the world’s most presti- gious orchestras. Her albums are Platinum Disc sellers and she has received many awards for outstanding artistic achieve- ment. A dazzling, brilliant and poetic player, Mehldau has also developed into a fine composer in both jazz and classical styles. In Rome he performs both solo, and in concert together with Larry Grenadier on double bass and Jeff Ballard on drum set - a trio that is acclaimed as one of the finest in the jazz world. Mehldau has been com- pared to Keith Jarrett, and he himself cites Jarrett as an influence, but this does not take away from his originality. Mehldau's sense of time, rhythm, and harmony are completely personal. His vast repertoire includes his own versions of classical jazz songs and melodies as well as interpreta- tions of songs by Nick Drake, Cole Porter, Beatles, Gershwin and others. “RomaComics & Games” is a three-day event dedicatedto comic strips and cartoon video games. At its
