SOCIAL NEWS-: As you probably know by now the first of our summer Sundowners is on
Sunday the 29th of November from 4 - 8pm. Bring along your nibbles
and bring along your friends and sit back and relax away the evening
to the sounds of Single Tattooed Women, a group blessed with the
talents of a couple of our own club members. You may even feel the
need to break out a few moves.
THE DOCTOR-: Look out on Saturday afternoon 28th of November as the tension rises
when everyone’s eyes are towards the sea, searching for the first
glimpse of the world champion paddlers who will have surfed the seas
on their Ocean Molokai Skis all the way from Rottnest to our shores at
Sorrento.
They will come from as far away as Tahiti and South Africa to compete
against the finest in Australia. It is always a very exciting finish as a
couple of them battle it out for 1st place.
Come down and take a place on the shore and cheer these brave
men and women in after completing the 27km trek across the ocean. It
is a sight to behold as they all begin to land their craft on the beach
after the long and arduous paddle that is only for the fittest of
competitors.
The club will be open after 4pm so come in and enjoy a cold
bevy or two with these champions.
SOCAFE-: The cafe's menu is gradually expanding as the season gets
underway and the numbers coming in for meals is increasing as
the weather warms up.
Enjoy a bit longer on the beach and then bring the family in for a
meal on a Wednesday and Friday evening from 6.30pm -
7.30pm. The meals are cheap and very tasty thanks to our cook
Bernadette.
The bar is also open to quench the thirst of all who have the
need for a nice cold one. If you haven't already come down
and give it a try.
