A message from DavidSphere of ControlThere are many factors that are within our control and of course, many of which are simply not.  Never before have we endured a time where the potential impact of change is well beyond our control and quite often, our comfort zone.  Today, there is every chance that Victoria will be placed in another lockdown to help combat the dreaded coronavirus.  This of course complicates so many immediate plans, the concert on Tuesday being just one of these.  At this point, we continue to plan for the concert going ahead and in the background, coordination of alternate solutions are in place to ensure our kids have the opportunity to perform.  I am calling on our community to focus on what we can actually control; and that is our continued positive approach to making this work.  It can be easy to drop our guard and portray frustration and a range of different emotions in such times of uncertainty.  However, this approach is not particularly helpful for our children or each other and together, I know we can keep spirits high.  The Box Hill North Community have proven to be exceptional through connection and compassion, demonstrating our core values with integrity.  Your ongoing commitment is to be highly commended. Introducing the Ripple ProjectWe have exciting news to share…The Ripple Project is coming to Box Hill North.  The Ripple Project is a collaborative model that enables customised programs to be delivered to children to help build individual and collective resilience and self-esteem.  This opportunity will work in partnership with our approach to student engagement and wellbeing, offering a tailored program to add value to our community.  Founded by the Phillips Foundation, the

Ripple Project will officially launch at Box Hill North on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th August.  Members of the team will lead ‘Living Labs’ alongside our staff, designed to immerse key stakeholders in conversation about wellbeing at the school and kindergarten, drawing on wisdom, experiences and relationships.  Building UpdateThe final plans for the new build have been submitted to the Department for review.  Next month, we will start to see detailed plans and colour schemes before going to tender.  The design itself with its flexibility and modern approach to teaching and learning will help shape an exciting future.  Nature Play SpaceWe are ready to press go with planning for the nature play space.  This term will see the project take shape to benefit the play experience for our students.  Stay tuned for more information.
