Royal Antwerp is home to Belgium's oldest golf club, dating back to 1888. Its current location in the Kapellenbos north of Antwerp, was

established in 1912, and has since developed into one of the finest wooded heathland courses in northwest Europe. The excellent sandy soil

base is perfect for this style of course, with its copious quantities of heather and mature pine trees lining many of the fairways. The terrain is

relatively flat, providing an easy-walking course, although one with plenty of inherent challenges, not least staying out of the trees and

plentiful bunkering, and getting down in two on the usually immaculate and fast greens. Water ditches are scarce, making a brief appearance

on just a couple of holes. At over 6600 yards from the back tees the course plays long enough for the vast majority of golfers, especially if

there's a bit of wind swishing around between the pines. This is not a layout that requires a booming drive off every tee.

Course management and good placement will serve you just as well if it’s a good score you are wanting to card. A course that always

exudes plenty of charm and challenge; no matter what time of year you play it.

Kapellen is situated north of Antwerp at about 20 km and approximately 65 km from Brussels Airport.

Train station HEIDE at +-3km from the club, with connections to Antwerp, Brussels.

Entries – Entry Form – Entry Fee

Entries will be accepted from female and male players who are members of a recognised Golf Union.

HANDICAP LIMIT HANDICAP LIMIT Belgian Players Qualifying

Women: 4,4 Women: 7,4

The player’s National Golf Union must certify the exact handicap at the closing date.

LIMITATION OF ENTRIES – 144 PLAYERS ( 42 Women, 102 Men)

Women: 42 players max. 28 entries will be decided using:

- the WWAGR at the closing date in the limit of the first 2000

- and then, the lowest exact handicaps all Nations taken into account at the closing date In addition to the limit number of 28 entries:

- 12 Belgian players through qualification

- Royal Antwerp Golf Club is entitled to enter up to 2 member players

Men: 102 players max. 78 entries will be decided using:

- the WAGR at the closing date in the limit of the first 2000

- and then, the lowest exact handicaps all Nations taken into account at the closing date In addition to the limit number of 78 entries:

- 21 Belgian players through qualification

- Royal Antwerp Golf Club is entitled to enter up to 3 member players

ENTRY FORM must be sent to the RBGF not later than Tuesday 1st of July 2014 at 12:00 a.m.

ENTRY FEE 100 € for adults and 75 € for players born in 1996 or after, and must be paid upon registration

The Qualifying round Entry fee of € 50 and the tournament Entry fee of € 50

has to be paid in cash at latest half an hour before starting time at the tournament office

Registration

All players must have registered in the Tournament Office at the Golf Club at the day before the Championship until 04:00 p.m.

Registering is possible from Monday 31st of August from 14:00 until 18:00 and Tuesday 1st of July from 09:00 until 16:00.

A competitor who does not register up to this date and time is liable to be withdrawn from the Championship. If a player is

unable to register in person, a registration by another person, via fax or e-mail will be accepted.

CONDITIONS OF PLAY

Conditions for Qualifying National Stroke Play Championship

The Qualification Round will be played by Single Stroke Play over 18 holes on Monday 28th of July 2014.

Following players will qualify for the Tournament:

Ladies: 12 leading scores

Men: 21 leading scores

Stroke play - 72 holes / 18 holes a day

Monday 28th of July: Qualifying Round

Wednesday 30th of July: Round 1

Thursday 31st of July: Round 2

Friday 1st of August: Round 3

Saturday 2nd of August: Round 4

Cut after 36 holes

Women: the 21 lowest scores and ties over these 36 holes will qualify for the 2 last rounds

Men: the 42 lowest scores and ties over these 36 holes will qualify for the 2 last rounds

In the event of a tie for the first place, a hole-by-hole play off stroke play will be organized until a winner has been decided. The

holes that will be used for the play-off are to be decided by the Tournament Committee. All other ties will be decided by

matching scorecards (last 18, last 9, last 6, last 3 and last hole). If this method does not produce an outcome, lot will decide the

ties.

NATIONS CUP

Eligible for play of the Nations Cup are teams of two or three players, who entered the competition before closing date and

have been nominated by their National Golf Union either in advance to the RBGF Office or up to the day before the

Championship until 03:00 p.m. in the Tournament Office at the Golf Club.

Each country may enter up to two teams.

36 holes stroke-play teams’ event

Wednesday 30th of July: Round 1

Thursday 31st of July: Round 2

The aggregate of the two lowest scores from the first and second round will count. In the event of a tie, the best team score of

round two counts, thereafter the best individual score of round two counts, thereafter the non-considered counting score of

player three of round two. If this method does not produce an outcome, lot will decide the ties.

TEES

The Tees to be played will be announced before the practice round.

PRIZES

The first 3 players shall receive mementos presented by the RBGF

The winning team of the Nations’ Cup shall receive mementos presented by the RBGF

The first 2 Belgian players in the National Stroke Play shall receive mementos presented by the RBGF

GENERAL REGULATIONS

The Championship will be played in accordance with the rules of golf as approved by the Royal & Ancient Rules Limited and

the General Conditions of Play of the Royal Belgian Golf Federation (RBGF), and in accordance with the local rules as

approved by the Championship Committee.

1. ENTRIES Entrants must conform in all respects to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by Royal & Ancient Rules Limited and

sign the declaration in the entry form to that effect

2. ENTRIES SHALL BE ACCEPTED ONLY If the entry form is fully completed, signed by the entrant on the appropriate official entry form and returned no later

than the closing date.

If the player’s National Golf Union certifies the exact handicap at the date of entry

Late entries or entries by phone will not be accepted.

All entries will be subject to the approval of the Championship Committee, which reserves the right to accept or refuse any

entry without giving reason for its decision.

3. ENTRY FEE Entry fees have to be paid at the Tournament Office.

4. WITHDRAWAL Any withdrawal must be notified by fax or email: [email protected] at the RBGF before the championship

If notified the day before the championship after 04:00 p.m. the player will be announced as disqualified

If not notified, the player will not be allowed to play the championship the following year

Entry fees will not be refunded.

5. THE CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE reserves the right to Disqualify any competitor making a false statement on his entry form

Reject for the next calendar year any competitor who did not send a notification of his intention to withdraw from the

competition to the Championship committee before the Championship, or withdraw at any stage of the championship.

Exemptions may be made in case of sickness with an authorised medical certificate given to the Entries’ Department

and other special circumstances at the discretion of the Championship Committee

6. PRACTICE DAY Tuesday 29th is the practice day for the championship from 10:00 until 15:00.
