BIBA Academy’s Certificate IV in Hairdress-ing (SIH40111) is Government accredited and Centerlink approved, making the course accessible to more students. Successful com-pletion of BIBA Academy’s Cert IV covers ad-vanced hairdressing techniques and provides the hands on experience and knowledge required to work at an advanced senior stylist level at any top hairdressing salon.

Certificate IV in Hairdressing covers:

This qualification reflects the role of highly skilled senior hairdressers who develop com-plex technical skills and knowledge working as part of or co-ordinating a salon team. It in-cludes senior hairdressers who work as tech-nical advisers with a hairdressing products company; or independently as a freelance session stylist. Functions at this level include the self-directed application of a broad range of knowledge and skills and the provision of

technical leadership, training and support to colleagues. A hairdresser at this level may provide specialist services, including haircut-ting, hair design, hair colouring and complex correction.

Vocational Graduate Certificate in Hair-dressing Creative Leadership

It is a per-requisite to complete Cert III in Hairdressing (or equivalent) prior to com-mencing Cert IV in Hairdressing.

As part of the enrollment application, appli-cants must submit a portfolio of evidence of current vocational expertise.

A Training Salon has been established within the Academy, inviting the public to be mod-els for the students. At BIBA real life hands on experience makes up 80% of a student’s learning process and provides invaluable hands-on experience.

The Certificate IV in Hairdressing involves :

27 contact weeks at 2 days a week (Monday’s & Tuesday’s).

During this time each student must demon-strate competency in all aspects of hairdressing at a high standard and complete nominal 430 hours.

Cert IV in Hairdressing is designed to build on the foundation skills acquired through the com-pletion of the Cert III in Hairdressing or equiva-lent.Entry to this qualification is open to those who have vocational expertise in the hairdressing industry.Vocational expertise must be current (within the last 4 months) and include a minimum of 2 of the 3 points below:• Experience as an operator in a commercially

All students enrolling in Certificate IV in 2013 who are not eligible for Government Funding must pay fee-for-service as follows:

This charge is a calculation of the nominal hours of the qualification, for Cert IV in Hair-dressing SIH4111 to total 430 nominal hours. The second fee is the ‘Student Service and Amenities Fee’. this is a yearly fee of maximum $162.Should your course carry over to the next calendar year both these fees are due in Janu-ary each year of your course.
