Our Cage-Free, Life-Saving Campus Space is the biggest hurdle we face as we try to save lives. We are building a new facility designed to have everything dogs need to recover from their pasts of pain and heartbreak. Our dogs will have space to roam, play, swim, and grow in our new 33-acre cage-free, home-like environment.

WHO WE ARE Big Dog Ranch Rescue is the largest no-kill dog rescue in the southeast. We save all sizes and breeds in hopes to one day end the senseless euthanasia of dogs simply due to space and time. Our goal is to give the gift of life to as many dogs as humanly possible, enrich the lives of those who adopt them, and in doing so, help create a better world. We've saved over 15,000 lives to date, and with the completion of this new facility, we will save thousands more.
OUR DREAM "I want to wake up one morning without an inbox full of dogs on death row," says Lauree Simmons, President of Big Dog Ranch Rescue. "I wish I could fund it all myself, but I unfortunately can't."
With the help of generous hearts in our community, we will build a safe haven for abandoned and neglected dogs that feels like home, so that when their fur-ever family walks them through their own front door, the transition will be stress-free and happy as can be.
Though there's no place like a fur-ever home, these dogs deserve a temporary place to feel safe, loved and at home with us at Big Dog Ranch Rescue.

Dog Bunkhouses $150,000/each 1 SPONSORSHIP NEEDED!These spacious indoor facilities provide restful, cozy, temporary homes where our dogs are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The Bunkhouses include individual, climate-controlled 12’x12’ rooms where our dogs cohabitate with other dogs without stress, in a comfortable home-like environment. The funds for this portion of the bunkhouses will cover the “shell” of these homes for our dogs and puppies, including the construction of the walls, roof and floors. The best part, YOU will be responsible for saving thousands of lives each year and tens of thousands of lives over a lifetime.
Cage-Free Dog Rooms $10,000/each 40 SPONSORS NEEDED!
Name one of our cage-free dog rooms and work with our designers to create a special place inspired by your own personal taste. These rooms will provide a place of comfort and safety for 50 abandoned and neglected dogs every year until they find their way to wonderful, loving homes. The funds from these rooms will help us complete the room with heating and air conditioning, windows, doors, beds, and decorations!

Puppy Play Yards Puppy Play Yards $100,000/each 2 SPONSORS NEEDED!
• Dogs are most comfortable and happy in large playgroups, interacting with each other and getting the exercise they need. These yards provide a place where our dogs can be physically active, mentally stimulated, healthy and happy.
• Pools: Our dogs can cool off and exercise in the warm weather. The pool areas will also have refreshing water misters which are so important in the South Florida sun.
Intake Center

Our two Intake Buildings are critical elements for keeping potentially sick dogs away from healthy dogs in other buildings. This center provides a quiet, serene place where dogs can acclimate to their new environment and rest until they are medically evaluated.

Education Center $750,000

Our state-of-the-art Veterinary Healing Center provides routine and life-saving services to the injured and ill. Here we spay/neuter, vaccinate, microchip, groom and treat any medical conditions necessary to ensure the health and well-being of each animal who comes into our care. We also provide specialty surgery when needed, dental cleanings, and basic wellness care.

Saving lives is a community effort. All of us need to work together to prevent overpopulation of homeless dogs, educate the public to better care for the animals in the community, and take a more responsible approach to ending the senseless euthanasia of adoptable dogs.
Within our Education Center, we will welcome local schools teach humane education classes for both adults and children, hold seminars regarding spay/neuter programs, emphasize the importance of heartworm prevention, teach foster and successful adoption classes, host volunteer orientations and more! The Education Center will be a place for the community to come together to learn about and celebrate dogs in our community.

Puppy Pods
10 Puppy Pods ALL SPONSORED!
Our welcoming puppy pods provide a safe environment for orphaned puppies and pregnant moms. Pregnant moms and their unborn babies are among the first to be euthanized in high-kill shelters. We nurture these precious gifts of life and raise them until they are ready for their forever homes.
Each individual, climate-controlled pod provides the perfect environment for pregnant moms to give birth. Each pod has several windows and a large fenced area for mommy and her puppies to enjoy. The synthetic turf is easily cleaned, and eco-friendly, providing a safe area where pups and mom can romp and play as they explore their new world.
Our goal is to change the way America views dog shelters. We are creating an inviting, homelike environment where families can come find their new furry family member. In the Visitor Center, you will meet our dedicated staff who will take you on a tour through our bunkhouses to meet our wonderful dogs and puppies.
Within the Welcome Center is a media wall that displays our community impact, adoptable dogs and ways our visitors can join our cause and help save even more lives.
