Our mission is clear: Communicate Architecture. We

want to work with architects and developers and help

them to communicate their projects in a unique way.

Our focus is bringing together architecture and art;

producing images that evoke emotion and portray

the un-built; the images we create are built around a

foundation of lighting, colour, composition and camera

angle.

The team comprises of artists who have a deep un-

derstanding of architecture and are passionate about

artistic visualisation. Our approach of collaborating

with the design team, understanding the essence of

the project is how we have forged on-going working

relationships with our clients.

The following images have been selected from projects

we have been fortunate to work on recently.

Established in 2002, The Bionic Group are a

leading specialist in the provision of multimedia

solutions to the construction industry, offering its

clients a wide range of new media services.

Built upon a team of 3D modelling, animation and

multimedia specialists, with an in-depth construc-

tion knowledge, we will ensure your requirements

are fully understood to make certain that the

multimedia selection is the ideal solution for your

3D construction phasing animation, presentation,

video, Interactive DVD or tablet App.

Today The Bionic Group works on projects in the

UK and has an international client portfolio which

includes Europe, Middle East, Hong Kong and

Australia. It’s business is built on referral. Every

project, small or large, means as much to us as it

Project: The Christie, Proton Beam Therapy CentreClient: HKS Architects

The new proton beam therapy centre at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in

Manchester will be one of only two high energy NHS proton beam therapy cen-

tres, the other being built at University College London

Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We have provided visualisation support to HKS

throughout the architectural design process of the project. The

latest images were commissioned to communicate how the architectural

lighting design on the exterior of the building would appear after sunset.

The physical lighting data was used to replicate the distribution, lumen value

and temperature of each light source.

In addition to the CG images shown a full suite of VR images were produced to

further communicate the design.

We continually engaged on the project and have begun to use CGI to assist in

spacial and material studies for the interior of the building; including the

treatment rooms where we have created detailed models of the Proton Beam

equipment.

Project: PRS, NW LondonClient: HKS ArchitectsArchitect: HTA Design, MAE, Hawkins Brown, SLCE

Bionic assisted Greystar through the preplanning and public consultation

phase of a new proposed PRS scheme located in Greenford, NW London.

We provided the following services:

• Visualisation

• Virtual Reality images

• AVR’s (Verified Views)

• Construction sequencing animation

• UAV aerial photography and video

Greystar are leaders in the investment, development, residential letting and

management of Private Rented Sector apartments / student accommodation

housing in Europe.

Bionic were involved with the scheme from the early stages of design

developing a flexible approach for Greystar.

We assisted the design team by developing early stage massing studies viewed

in VR, through to a full suite of images for the final planning submission. A

phasing animation was also created to help communicate the phased develop-

ment of the site to investors. UAV footage formed part of a public information

film about the scheme shown to the residents of Greenford.

Ingenuity House will be the new regional headquarters for Interserve; located

next to Birmingham International airport.

We were commissioned to produce a CG animation to sit within a staff orienta-

tion tool being developed for the new building. We worked very closely with

the architect and the communication team to ensure the look and feel of the

building was as accurate as possible.

In addition to the animation, a number of V.R. images were produced through-

out the project to assist in design and steering groups.

Stoke Ripley Creative are working to develop the

Origin brand in the UK and North America. As

part of the marketing strategy it was decided to

use CGI livery on the fleet of Origin vehicles. The

livery would show a typical installation of Origin’s

Bi-Fold doors, windows and standard door of-

fering in a virtual setting. Using a mood board

supplied by Stoke Ripley, we began the process

of modelling the required items in 3D.

The images were potentially going to be upto 6m

wide, with a high dpi value - model detail, texture

and lighting were very important for the final

images to look hyper realistic.

The final images are now being applied to Origin’s

fleet and the feedback has been fantastic....so

much so that we have just finished a revision for

the North American fleet of vehicles.
