Application

The Bioteg SRBF-Series Biofilter, with its compact design and longservice life, can be applied to relieve a variety of different odorproblems.Applications for the Stand-Alone Biofilter include pump and liftstations, varied processes at wastewater treatment plants, landfillsand the Food and Chemical Industry. They are designed to treatairstreams from 10 to 250 cfm.The SRBF-Series Biofilters can be used as inexpensive passivebiofilters (displacement method), or as active biofilters with a fan, anirrigation system and the necessary controls.The active biofilter is designed to run automatically with very littlemaintenance requirements. HDPE and stainless steel constructionensures durable field life.As with all Bioteg Biofilters, the SRBF-Series employs our proprietarybpc - Biomedia to provide up to seven years of effective odor removal.The replacement of the media is an easy and inexpensive process.The used biofilter material is not hazardous and can be readilycomposted.

Bioteg Passive Biofilters are an ideal and inexpensivesolution to treat nuisance odors at the sourceanywhere in the collection system.All Bioteg Biofilters employ our proprietary bpc-Biomedia with an extremely low pressure drop,allowing their use as Passive Biofilters. The normalpressure in the sewer system forces the air throughthe biofilter, where microorganisms degrade theodorous substances.The Biomedia is self-regenerating and may thereforehave a service life of up to 7 years. The spent media isnot hazardous and can be easily replaced.

Modular Container Biofilter Systemwith integrated cross-flow scrubber

Our Modular Container Biofilter Systems consist of one or more double walledfiltercontainers complete with Bioteg’s bpc-100 Biofilter Media, an irrigation system,a scrubber with heater, a fan and a control panel. They are designed to treat airflowrates of 300 to 15,000 cfm. The outer wall of each container is made of steel with atreated and painted outer surface. The inner surfaces are coated with 3 mm heavy-duty polyethylene to avoid corrosion.

The MCBF-Series is solidly constructed and is designed to operate automaticallywith practically no need for maintenance.

A cross-low scrubber can be integrated into the first container. As an option weprovide containers with a Technical compartment that houses not only the scrubber,but also, the heater, the fan and all the controls.

The Bioteg Manhole Biofilter is a specially designed manhole insertwhich effectively removes odors from sewer manholes.

Microorganisms in the filter media oxidize and remove the malodoroussubstances before they can reach the open air.

The innovative mounting system allows fitting the biofilter into themanhole in a matter of seconds; it can also be easily removed forsewer system maintenance. HDPE and stainless steel constructionensures durable service life and minimal maintenance requirements.

The Bioteg Manhole Biofilter presents an affordable and effectivesolution to unpleasant street-level sewer odors.
