George Washington Carver was one of America’s greatest scientists, responsible for developing resource conservation techniques that preserve soil and make farms more productive. A true systems thinker, he understood that everything is connected, and ignoring that fact can have disastrous effects.

Warren Washington is an internationally recognized scientist in climate research. Washington’s computer models for studying the impacts of climate change were used extensively in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change assessment for which he and other scientists shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
