Dear Parents, Gala Day

Gala day is only three weeks away!

Term 4 is flying!

What can you do to make Gala Day a

huge success?

Try hard to canvas for new items

for the chocolate wheel

Fossick for fantastic items that

you don’t want but someone else

will treasure (White Elephant Stall)

Save your money for the best

day ever!

Buy an “All day ride pass”

Purchase a “showbag” from the

P & C

All the money raised goes straight back

into resources for the school. From last

year we managed to

“Wi Fi” the whole school, buy books for

the library and extra printers for each

block.

This year, we would like to be able to

afford more ipads, more books, a new

communication system for the whole

school and a new electronic sign. This

is a big shopping list so let’s make this

year’s Gala Day the most successful on

record.

Fun Days

At the end of the year, classes

participate in “Fun Day”. Permission

notes will go out closer to the time,

however, the “Fun Days” are

INVITATION only. If your child has had

significant or numerous blue slips, they

will not be invited to join in the fun

activities or to go on the excursion.

Gala Day

Gala Day operates the same way. It is

a fun day for all so anyone who is not

following school rules will not be

invited to participate in the day. If your

child is not invited to participate, the all

day pass will be refunded. Hopefully

everyone and their extended families

will be able to join in the fun and

support BLACKTOWN WEST.

Academic Presentation and Sports Presentation Days These are very special events at

Blacktown West. We hope that all

parents are able to join us and

celebrate the hard work and success of

the students.

Helpers Morning Tea

Tuesday 25th November 10:30 to 11:30.

Next Tuesday 25th

November, we

would like invite the many parents,

grandparents, family members, P & C,

canteen staff and Scripture teachers to

a special morning tea.

We hope you are able to join us so we

can thank you for all your assistance on

behalf of the students.

Assemblies

This week is the last week for class and

sports awards in the BER hall and where

Assembly times are as usual.

On Friday 28th

November, K-2 will be in

the bottom hall at 10:10 and Years 3 to 6

will be under the top COLA at 2:00.

Friday 5th

December is GALA DAY-

There is no assembly.

The last Assembly will be held on Friday

12th December in the BER. This will be

for K-6 and ONLY special awards will

be presented
