Above & Beyond - Aquatic Center Lifeguards
On June 9 at the Kingsport Aquatic Center, Noah Rutherford noticed an
unresponsive young boy in the lazy river. He jumped in and pulled the boy from the
river and immediately started performing CPR with fellow lifeguard Charlotte Reasor.
When Kingsport Fire Department and EMS arrived, the boy was conscious and was
taken to the hospital. It was later discovered that the young boy had a seizure and
that was the reason for his unresponsiveness.
Thanks to the quick actions of the Kingsport Aquatic Center lifeguards. Noah and
Charlotte, the boy's life was saved! While they were doing there job, we are thankful
for their heroic efforts.
