Message
The Philippine College of Surgeons cordially invite and welcome all the local and foreign delegates, participants and guests to the 73rd Annual Clinical Congress, hosted and supported by the Philippine College of Surgeons Foundation Inc. The PCS Committee on Continuing Surgical Education and the Committee on Conventions has put together a meaningful and comprehensive scientific program with the theme “Excellence in Surgery: Standards, Practices and Trends” that will educate and enlighten our participants as well as bring the practice of surgery in the country to the highest level of excellence, quality and safety. Surgical matters
will be discussed in lectures, symposiums, panel discussions and cine clinics by local experts and invited foreign speakers. The Congress will also feature a special lecture on “The South China Sea Dispute: Philippine Sovereign Rights and Jurisdiction in the West Philippine Sea” by Justice Antonio T. Carpio, Senior Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Hopefully, special lectures of general interest will be included in future congresses of the PCS. Let us enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie of our fellow surgeons during our Annual Clinical Congress. As the Christmas season is just a few weeks away, let us not also forget the true meaning of the season and that is to celebrate the birth of and thank the Lord Almighty for all the blessings we have received. The best of the holidays and the coming new year to us all.
We are the PCS!

MODERN MANILA (approximately 8 hours) Guaranteed minimum of 2 persons - PHP6,388.00 per person
The "other side" of Manila is a modern metropolis that is gaining increasing importance as a major artery in the financial flow of the Pacific. Your tour begins with a drive through the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex - a complex that lies on reclaimed land situated along Roxas Boulevard - entirely reminiscent of the glory years of the Marcoses. A drive through the complex starts with a glance of the fountain-adorned Cultural Center of the Philippines, the country’s seat of cultural awareness. Then move on to the Philippine International Convention Center and the Folk Arts Theater - favorite venues for both local and international events, concerts and performances. Adjacent to these structures are the Coconut Palace, a building made mostly of coconut materials, and the Sofitel Philippine Plaza, a deluxe hotel with a magnificent view of the Manila Bay.
Proceed to Makati, the financial and commercial center of Manila. You will visit the famous Ayala Museum, whose core historical collections are the sixty handcrafted dioramas that chronicle the rich tapestry of Philippine anthropology. It also features a one-of-a-kind boat gallery showcasing miniatures of some of the watercraft that have contributed to the development of Philippine maritime trade and the colonial economy. Archaeological and ethnographic objects from the country’s northern and southern communities complement the historical collection. The Fine Arts collection features important works by three painters considered pioneers in Philippine art namely, Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo and Fernando Zobel. Your last stop is at the American Memorial Cemetery - perhaps the largest and most beautiful Armed Forces resting place outside continental United States. Package inclusions: Transfers by private air-conditioned vehicle All applicable shrine/museum fees Lunch “family style” at a local restaurant Services of a licensed English-speaking guide Not included: Drinks during lunch Gratuities for the local guide and driver Other incidental expenses that might be incurred by the guest/s for the duration of the
