• Maintain and update database of laws and relevant information from different

sources.

• Proponents are provided with available investment data e.g. Cost of Doing

Business, Site Selection, Policies and Procedures, Frequently Asked Questions

(FAQs), among others.

• Provide investment counseling/ facilitation services to prospective investors

• Empower the LGUs and DTI frontliners with the knowledge and confidence to

adequately answer investment-related inquiries from prospective investors.

• Equip IAC frontliners with proper tools and skills needed in investment

promotion and facilitation.

• Institutionalize an effective frontline service in pursuit of becoming the Center of

Excellence (COE) for investor assistance.

• Provide investors with up-to-date information on how to do business in the

Philippines.

• Increase media mileage on BOI-IAC’s investment facilitation efforts.

In pursuit of improving BOI services to clients, the Investment

Assistance Service – Aftercare Services Division is currently working on

its seven (7) priority initiatives:

Aftercare Facilitation

1. Strategic Investors Aftercare Program (SIAP)

A program designed to create a high quality, trust

based working relationship between BOI and the

investors. This program emphasizes on the following:

Timely advice on investment-related matters

Compliance with BOI Registration – Terms and

Conditions

Follow-through on other government transactions

Implemented the Key Account Management System (KAMS). It prioritizes companies

with significant economic potential by providing the following services:

On-Site company visits

Facilitate transactions with BOC, BI, SEC and DA through an “express lane”

or “green light” agreement

Facilitate the Retention, Expansion and Diversification (BOI RED Program)

2. Investment Promotion Unit – Network (IPU-Net)

Act on I/C within 5 working days for simple transaction and 10 working days for complex transaction per Anti-Red Tape Law

IO is the grievance desk for the following concerns:

1. Delays in the delivery of frontline government services, i.e. establishment or conduct of business;

2. Solicitation, demand or request by a government official or employee in exchange for the issuance of licenses, permits and certificates, the release of shipments and cargoes, as well as arbitrary assessment of fees for the conduct of business;

3. Issuance of licenses, permits and certificates in relation to business to any person otherwise not qualified or legally entitled; and

4. Any other delay or refusal to comply with the referral or directive of the IO team.

business communities are nurtured.
