MARTINA

•  Notes from script: •  “Framed posters of her cabaret shows are hung on

the walls. Old sequined costumes are proudly displayed. Tapestries of jarring prints are strewn all over the apartment” •  “She is dressed in a black satin bathrobe and a print

headscarf.” •  “her heavy make up is smudged.” •  “I had a solo act in Studio 54.”

How I imagine the photo on the wall that the imagined photographer references. A young Martina. Polished, ambitious, hopeful, uncertain, carefree, careful, confident.

MARTINA’S STYLE

•  As someone whose former haunts include studio 54, Martina is a person who has lived through decades of style changes. Since this is presumably set in the present day, her style has adapted to what is in at the moment. •  Her color scheme should be simple with a dash of

variety. I imagine her in simple white, or black, or a combination of both with bold prints tossed in via a scarf (not necessarily headscarf but possible), bouts of eye-catching jewelry, a nice brooch, etc •  Martina’s style is elegant, modern, but reminiscent

of her golden years

Here is an example of polished style. The look would be complete for Martina with details that stand out. Here, a statement ring might do nicely.

Including this picture entirely for the feathered scarf, an excellent example of an accessory which complement a polished, elegant look.

EVE

•  Notes: n/a •  Style: Eve is a 30 something year old, adopted,

strikes me as an average young woman going through trying times with her mother. Her style is very casual, and easy fitting. •  She wears t-shirts at home, light dresses, minimal

jewelry and make up. She may have been raised by Martina, but their styles do not line up one bit. Martina’s style is vibrant, where Eve’s is ordinary, safe, and unadventurous.

A plain, easy fitting white dress, very nice for summer strolls.

Detail here is the purse, I imagine it to be a bold mix of colors (green + pink).

Beautiful detailed necklace, looks to be all white, and the gem at the center could easily be a bold ruby.
