Features The Boomerang Static Installation Kit offers a rugged, easily assembled mounting tripod and an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) housed in an environmentally protected container suitable for one person to carry. As an added feature, a four port Ethernet switch is located in the power unit container, permitting remote display capabilities, easy networking with other Boomerang systems, and immediate integration with other systems, including the Boomerang Situation Awareness System, Remote Weapons Stations and EO/IR Systems that are currently fielded. A rugged tripod to quickly mount the Mast Assembly along with brackets to secure the Display/Signal Processing box is also included.

In a fixed site or perimeter protection configuration, networked Boomerang systems are fully scalable. To cover a large scale perimeter with 100% overlap, Boomerang systems are installed around the perimeter of the desig-nated site at specific meter inter-vals. The Boomerang systems can be easily networked to the Boomerang Situation Awareness System or similar Tactical Operations Center (TOC) technologies to provide real time situation awareness of shooter locations on a map display.

• Provides 24 Vdc to Boomerang-when connected to standard U.S.electrical power (110-volts AC at 60Hz)

• Power Backup Unit functions as an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS), which automati-cally switches to battery back up providing power for 4-6 hours during interruptions of electrical power

• Battery recharges and remains charged while the unit is plugged in to standard U.S. electrical power

• 4 port, 10/100 Ethernet hub, which can be used for any Ethernet based networked com-munications or integration with other systems

• Ruggedized tripod provided for quick emplacement of the Boomerang system

The Boomerang Static Installation Kit provides the tools necessary for the most effective small-arms detec-tion capability in the static or fixed environment.

Boomerang Shooter Detection Technology

Depending on the Concept of Operation, Boomerang systems can be easily and quickly installed on manned or unmanned ground vehicles for patrol around perimeter or FOB. The digital output of the Boomerang system is transmitted via a digital tactical network to the TOC for extended situational awareness.
