Wednesday Pennant – commence on 13 October (during the Nationals) and playing on 13 January when Bowls Tasmania Open Triples, Mixed Pairs and Bowling Arm Championships are being played on the North West Coast.

The major Bowls Australia events (Open Sides, Senior Sides, Junior Nationals, Champion of Champions and the Australian Championships will be held across two weeks in October each year and will be known as The Nationals – commencing 2 – 16 October 2021.)

BRUNY BOWLS CLUB SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR SATURDAY PENNANT

BRUNY HOME GAMES:

1. The last ferry available to allow players to arrive in time for pennant play departs Kettering at 9.30 am. There is also a 9.00am ferry which would allow some time for practice if you prefer. Visitor numbers are increasing to Bruny so please make sure you arrive early to catch the ferry if travelling by bus or car.

2. Games at Bruny are to commence at 11.00am – that is, trial-ends at 10.45am.

3. Visiting players will need to provide their own lunch but they can purchase lunch at the club.

4. Bruny has a community bus available to collect players from the 9.00am or 9.30am ferry.

Note: there are a minimum of 9 passengers required and a maximum of 11 to use this service. Bookings can be made by calling the Club directly on 6293 1114 or contacting John Kobylec on 6293 1205.

BRUNY AWAY GAMES:

Bruny request that away games commence no later than 12 noon – that is, trial ends at 11.45am.

The package “wraps around” your pennant game and includes:

Friday afternoon Barefoot Bowls with prizes commencing at 4.00 pm (Saturday Pennant Game) Saturday Evening BBQ dinner at the Club Sunday morning – From 8.30 am: Egg and Bacon Rolls with Coffee, Tea or Juice at the Club.

Friday Evening Meals are also available at the Club. Bookings are essential by phoning Dale on 0401 519 092.
