TRUGRIDFRP Cable Support System
The TRUGRID Cable Support System is designed and manufactured to el iminate the
endless problems faced by plant engineers using conventional cable support system made
from galvanised steel, aluminium or thermoplastics.
The following are some of the special features of the system.
CHEMICAL AND CORROSION RESISTANCE
TRUGRID Cable Support System is made from a selection of premiumresin reinforced with glass fibers to form a strong composite which is
resistant to most chemicals and Ultra Violet. TRUGRID Cable SupportSystem resists acids, salts, alkalis and a wide range of aggressivechemicals and solvents. This property is not supercial, as in coated steel
but integrated throughout the components used. Corrosion often initiatesfrom scratches which are caused while cable are being installed inconventional support systems. However this is not a problem with the use
of the TRUGRID System. Cable trays and Ladders are also available inre retardant grade.
STRENGTH WEIGHT RATIO
TRUGRID Cable Support System is fabricated from componentsderived from a process called PULTRUSION. This process enables a high
percentage of glass to be incorporated into the components giving it verysuperior strength. The strength of TRUGRID System in relation to itsweight therefore exceeds the performance of those of steel or aluminium.
EASE OF INSTALLATION
The weight of the pultruded components used is approximately one quarterthe weight of steel or two thirds of aluminium.
Unlike stainless steel, pultruded components are easier to handle and can
be drilled or cut on site using handtools. Lower installation cost wouldcontribute to substantial savings.
