Introduction
The term ‘corporate identity’ describes how an organisation presents itself as an identifiable and recognisable ‘brand’ or image. This document presents guidelines for the presentation of the corporate identity of Gossi. These guidelines have been produced to ensure that our corporate identity is consistently and uniformly presented. Compliance with these guidelines will promote our public image and demonstrate our commitment to quality. All staff and external suppliers must comply with these guidelines.

Brandmark
Placement
The brandmark must always be displayed in a prominent area and given plenty of clear zone around it in order to represent its prominence and independence.
Variations
In all instances where possible, the brandmark must be displayed in the primary Pantone 371C. This will help in maintaining a consistent and recognisable brand.
On occasions where the brandmark is to be displayed on a dark background, the reversed white version must be used.
Where printing or manufacturing restrictions apply, the brandmark may be produced in monochrome (black).
Usage
The logo has been created and supplied for the reproduction across all applications. The applications have been categorised into 2 sections:
• Promotional
• ProductBranding
This document outlines the correct usage of the brandmark. Under no circumstances must the logo be modified, traced or recreated as this will lead to inconsistency. Derivatives are also not to be made, except under the express authorisation of the Gossi marketing department. Contact the Gossi marketing department if you require a version for use in corporate collateral.
The Brand
The Gossi company is a well recognised brand and for this reason we need to maintain a consistent and unified presence in order to reflect to our customers and associates a strong, consistent and reliable brand.
This brand guidelines document is effective as of 1st April 2013.In the event that an item has no design specifications, it is essential that the basic design parameters set forth in this manual are adhered to.Artwork required for items not shown in this manual can be produced by exactly following the guidelines as illustrated and explained. Where necessary, flexibility must be applied to accommodate variations in space and materials.However, where a depature from the specified design guidelines is required, express permission from Gossi must be obtained.

Logo Version 1 – Colour
The Primary logo, is the preferred logo to be used on marketing and internal documents, and is to use on white or light coloured backgrounds ONLY.

To use on green or dark coloured backgrounds ONLY.

The monochrome logo must only be used when the logo cannot be reversed and black is the only colour available.

Version 3Logo Version 3 has been specifically designed inline with the constraints of product material reproduction. This logo tobeusedforProductBrandingONLY. Please see the examples below for branding placement. Strict authorisation from the Gossi Marketing Department with regard to sizing and positioning must be recieved before production.
Version 2 – Promotional material / Product BrandingThis representation of the brandmark although not the primary logo has been developped for use across both promotional material and product branding, with strict authorisation from the Gossi Marketing Department. Upon approval for usage, the below versions are to be used in accordance with the sizing guidelines on page 8.

Brandmark Specifications
Clear Zones
The brandmark clear zone is of great importance to enable the Gossi brand to have a prominent presence without being overshadowed or cluttered against other elements.
The clear zone outlined in this guide is to be used as a very minimum amount of space where no other text or imagery may exist near the brandmark. The clear zone is the width of the letter “i” in “Gossi” and is shown in the diagram to the right.

Incorrect Use
It is the upmost importance that the brandmark to always be reproduced true to form and unchanged. The brandmark must never be stretched, squeezed or skewed and in cramped spaces, the clear zone and colour specifications must be applied appropriately.

minimum Size
Minimum size refers to the smallest size at which the brandmark may be reproduced to ensure its legibility.
Due to print limitations across a range of applications (eg, newspaper / magazine reproduction, etching / casting production) the minimum sizing restrictions listed below are to be strictly adhered to.

Colour Pallet
The Gossi brand has one major primary colour: PMS 371C. This dark green is synonymous with the Gossi brand and reflects heritage and a strong environmental touch. PMS 371C should be utilised in all instances where possible.
Secondary colours also play an important role in the Gossi brand. These colours help to accentuate the primary colours and appeal to the target market:

Typography
Type can be a powerful brand tool when used carefully and consistently. To help establish a consistent and credible brand style, typefaces have been chosen for all applications. Contemporary yet friendly and legible typefaces which compliments the Gossi brandmark.
Styling of type and documents helps to reflect the characteristics of the brand. Open and friendly, easy to understand and well balanced.
If you do not have version of brand typefaces on your computer, please contact the Gossi marketing department.
Headings work well in myriad Pro Bold
Universe Light is ideal for body copy. Legibility is key in body copy - ensure body copy is at a size that will be comfortable for your audience to read.
