Word mark:

the spartanburg day school word

mark is the primary logo. always

use the artwork provided without

alterations. never set the type in the

word mark or distort in any way.

Color PalEttE:

Whenever possible, use the 2-color

version of the logo in Pms 1797 red

and Pms 424 Gray. the only other

logo variations are as 1-color versions

in Pms 1797 red, Pms 424 Gray,

black or white.

Griffi n

Word mark and symBol:

the Griffi n symbol is a mascot for the

brand, and not part of the primary

logo. do not put the griffi n in close

proximity to the primary logo to avoid

any confusion.

GriFFin symBol:

the Griffi n symbol may be used

as a mascot for the school, only as

it related to school spirit. the Griffi n

may only be used in Pms 1797 red,

Pms 424 Gray, Pms 3005 Blue,

black or white. it may also be tinted

back for a subtle effect.

t-shirts and other promotional

products should be in logo colors

(Pms 1797, Pms 3005, Pms

424). When Pms colors are not

available, choose colors as close to

the color palette as possible.* For

t-shirts, dark navy blue and light

gray t-shirts are also acceptable.

* Please note that when PMS colors are

not available in product colors, it is

always recommended that you request

samples prior to production to ensure

colors are matched as closely to the

color palette as possible.

individual sports

athletics logos for individual sports

may be created by replacing

“athletics” with the name of the

individual sport. always use the

athletics logo template when creating

logos for individual sports. never alter

the size or kerning of the text, and

never recreate the “Griffin” logo.

tyPoGraPhy

individual sports should be set in

Futura heavy, all caps; centered;

tracked (spaced out) at 200.

the font size should always be the

same as the size of “athletics” in the

main athletics logo.

Coaches Gear

For embroidered coaches gear, use

only the Pms 1797 (red) one-color

logo on a gray, navy or white shirt; or

a white logo on a red shirt.
