Brazos Valley Independent Front Ensemble Packet

The goal of this front ensemble is to achieve the highest level of musicianship while honing technique, teamwork, and performance skills. This packet contains exercises compiled from other sources as well as a few original works. Our two mallet technique will be similar to the rear fulcrum technique many groups use. Our four mallet technique will be Stephens grip. These will be defined in more detail at the audition camps. Performers auditioning for this group will be assessed on technique consistency, preparedness, attitude, adaptability, ensemble skills, and rehearsal etiquette. Please be aware that as a performing ensemble, how you present yourself and interact with instructors and other performers will be taken into consideration during the audition.
