Imagine for design 1

I imagine that our materials are yellow foam, cotton and sand with one unit.

Foam is a good insulator the same thing with cotton cotton and sand have a low environmental impact.

And foam has a high environmental impact

Idea 2Our materials are still cotton that's going on the top foam that's going on the bottom and cloth that's on the sides and all in one unit.

Cotton and cloth have low impact and they are good insulators and reusable.

The bad thing about this that foam high impact and not recyclable

And cotton and cloth are not recyclable.

Create for design #1

Our heat score is our solar oven maximum temperature subtracted from control oven:1

Our time score is the number of minutes it took to cool down which was 7 minutes

Our total impact score 7 points

Our new total score for the solar oven is 0 point

Improve for design #1

*The total score for our first solar oven was 0 points *The parts of our solar oven design that work well were our insulators worked well because they allowed to stay

*The parts of our solar oven design that did not work well were the time because it took a short time to cool

down.* We our going to try to improve our impact score

*we will improve our impact score by making sure we cover all the holes to not let the heat escape because if

we leave it with holes it will get hotter.

Reflection Our improve design did not work well because the materials were change except the cotton and we did not place the materials correctly . The materials we change were yellow foam and cloth to white foam and sand. The only material that stayed the same was the cotton. The materials we added were poor insulators because our score was lower and it decreased the temperature.

If we could improve again, we would change the materials to better insulators like yellow foam and cloth because our solar oven needs to be full with insulators to keep in the heat.
