My definition of educational technology
Educational technology is the use of computers and other
technological devices to enhance student learning, better than “teacher lecture” learning.

A technology I want to use in my classroom
• Laptops- I would love for every student in my class to have a lap top because there are so many wonderful learning experiences and programs that children can learn from, different from reading from a textbook or listening to a teacher lecture

My vision of the classroom of the future
• I would like to see students on the computer everyday
• Young elementary students will know how to use email and communicate with each other through the internet
• Students can work independently on the computer without teacher assistance
• Some of the core subjects with be completed on the computer

A challenge for teaching
• My biggest challenge will be transitioning from textbook and teacher led lessons to computer based learning. Not only will students have to learn, but so will I.

Words of wisdom
If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.
