This remodel / renovation included: • Structural reinforcing of the existing brick shell with aluminum heli-coils. • Supporting and tying off the existing three smoke stacks. • Demolition of all existing internal structures. • Placing new footings within the building footprint. • Setting a new structural steel frame. • Tying the two buildings together. • Repairing, reinforcing and reusing all existing roof trusses. • Building new window and door openings. • Placing a new composite metal deck second floor. Green building practices were used.
