• Drying is one way of increasing farmers’ income by reducing quaniy

and qua!iy !osses. I e"#ands farmers’ o##oruniies$ enab!ing %em osore grains and see& beer mar&es wi%ou qua!iy deerioraion.

Drying cou!d be done in se'era! ways$ bu %e mos common me%ods

are by direc!y e"#osing %e grains o sun!ig% and by using mec%anica!

dryers. In erms of cos$ sun drying is c%ea#er$ bu i is no feasib!e

during rainy seasons w%en %e gra'iy of grain deerioraion becomes

more #ronounced.

A number of %eaed)air dryers %a'e been inroduced o a!!e'iae %e

#rob!em. Among %e more #o#u!ar are %e *abed dryers and

recircu!aing bac% dryers. +%ese dryers #ro'ide good #erformance
