I think that people prefer English to otherForeign languages because: 1 - one of every seven people in the world speaks English. 2 - English Language has become the «new Latin», the lingua franca, of the century. 3 - one must know English to be a part of the 21st century. 4 - English is easier to learn than any other language because it easily borrows local words and phrases.
