Despite the absence of a forwarding agent's handstamp, this is without doubt an extraordinary example of forwarding agents' mail, and the only such group from any country into Australia known to us. ["Australia Felix" = Blessed Australia, was a term coined by Major Thomas Mitchell in 1836 to describe the lush western parts of Victoria. It is rarely seen as part of an address. Herr Boltzmann is unknown to us but was presumably one of the earliest German settlers in the Colony]
