The Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana was establishedin 1962 and was formally inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar LalNehru, the then Prime Minister of India on July 8, 1963. TheUniversity Encompasses and are a of 494 hectares at theoutstations. PAU performs the integrated functions ofteaching, research and extension in Agriculture, Agricultural,Engineering, Home, Science and allied disciplines. TheUniversity has well equipped laboratories, library and readinghalls and elaborate farm facilities. PAU has played a key rolein increasing food grain production in the Punjab State. It hasbeen instrumental in ushering an era of Green Revolution inIndia. In recognition of its outstanding achievements inagricultural research, education and extension, it was ranked2nd among all Agricultural Universities by MHRD (NIRF) in2017.Moreover it was ranked 3rd among all agriculturalinstitutes/universities by ICAR in 2017. INTRODUCTION

The Department of Business Management,established in 1971 with active support of DCMgroup of industries, is one of the premier centers tospearhead the development of managementeducation in the region. The mission of Departmentof Business Management (DBM) visualizes solutionoriented management education as a key to carvesuccessful managers. The department’s objectiveis to provide future managers with requisite vision,innovation, dedication and knowledge. Shaped bythe curricula, which is a blend of practical andtheory and burnished by experienced faculty, ourgraduates vie with those of premier managementinstitutions. The faculty of Department of BusinessManagement has been effectively involved inresearch, training, consultancy work andconducting workshops in the industry. Practicingmanagers are among the guest faculty of thedepartment.
