Principal’s News Tuesday 8 September 2020
I hope everyone has been enjoying the fabulous online assemblies that classes have produced each
week this term. These assemblies are very time consuming and a huge effort from the students and
their teachers. Coming up with themes, experimenting with videoing techniques to get the best
shots, planning scripts and talking into microphones and finally editing the clips together- all these
skills classes are developing, many being learned when it is their classes turn to record their
assembly.
Staff and students are to be congratulated on their assemblies they have produced. Links to all our
assemblies can be found on our school Facebook page. If you missed any or want to re-live the magic
your child’s class created, please look them up.
Kinder Orientation
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to proceed with our usual Kindergarten
parent information evening at this time. We are currently putting together a video introduction to
the school for our 2021 Kinder parents, along with some information for the children. We will let all
2021 Kinder parents know how to access it in the coming weeks.
This Thursday’s virtual assembly will be led by 2F.

Moruya High School Year 6-7 Parent Information Meeting This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Moruya High School parent information
meeting will be online via zoom. All details are on the flyer attached to this
newsletter.
Cross Country The school cross country will be for Years 3 – 6 only. It will be on Wednesday 23
September. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, parents will not be able to attend.
Students are expected to wear sports uniform on this day and bring a drink bottle.
School Photograph Day The School Photographer will be taking our school photographs on MONDAY 21
SEPTEMBER. Photo envelopes have been sent home together with a letter with full
instructions. Each student must return THEIR OWN completed envelope. Please
note, students are to wear their full winter school uniform. Kindergarten students
are not to wear sports uniform on this day.
If your family requires a separate photo envelope, please contact the front office.
Fruit & Veg Month 2020 Remember to enter the Fruit and Vegetable Month 'Design a
Poster' competition. You may use paint, texta, pastels or why
not create something on the computer. Read the entry form
carefully as entries will be judged on the message/s you are
giving with your poster as well as your artistic talents!
The mosaics we are creating for the veggie garden wall are coming along nicely. We
have added apples, flowers and leaves and are currently working on a bee. Pop over to
the back door of the Kindy class on Thursday during lunch or recess if you would like
to help out.
Remember to eat lots of vegetables and fruit!
If you want any more information see Mrs Dunn in Kindy.
