Simulation Center • The Center for Excellence in Clinical

Simulation provides the most realistic, hands-on learning experience possible.

• Students spend about 40 hours in the Simulation Center during their College education.

• Birthing, infant, pediatric and adult simulators mimic patient conditions and respond to treatments like real-life patients.

• The simulators talk to the students, express pain and ask questions as part of the learning experience. In fact, the scenarios are often so realistic students forget their patient is a simulator!

• Students role-play working with pharmacy, lab, the patient’s physicians and other members of the medical team, as well as family members.

Experience. Your experiences shape your learning, and your future. Our dedicated faculty is committed to providing the highest quality of instruction, personal attention to your goals and the most realistic, diverse hands-on learning experiences possible.

• The College has two specimens – one that focuses on internal organs and one that focuses on nerve and skeletal muscles.

Cadaver Labs• Cadavers demonstrate the individual

uniqueness of each human body.

• Students learn about a variety of pathologies and get to see first-hand the effects of disease on organ systems.

• Cadaver labs provide a valuable learning opportunity for students to see, touch and examine organs.

Skills Labs

• Our dedicated skills labs actively involve students in hands-on learning.

• Nursing students practice everything from taking blood pressures to placing catheters and IVs to performing a full patient assessment including checking for heart sounds.
