1 Logbook portal guide The portal is available to all BSE members. To gain access, members must request login details. 1. Request *login details by emailing [email protected], we need to know the following information: your BSE ID, Full name and Type of Logbook- TTE, TOE, ACCE, Stress Echo, Congenital or Level 1. We also need the name and email address of your mentor to link your Logbook to their account. *Logins are issued within 48 working hours of a request (if the information has been provided). Please check your spam/junk mail if you do not receive a response within 72 hours. Tip- use google chrome as your web browser. 2. Logbook portal guide

The portal is available to all BSE members. To gain access, members must request login details.

1. Request *login details by emailing [email protected], we need to know the following information: your BSE ID, Full name and Type of Logbook- TTE, TOE, ACCE, Stress Echo, Congenital or Level 1.

We also need the name and email address of your mentor to link your Logbook to their account.

*Logins are issued within 48 working hours of a request (if the information has been provided). Please check your spam/junk mail if you do not receive a response within 72 hours.

Tip- use google chrome as your web browser.

2. When you receive your login email, there will be the URL link- https://logbook.bsecho.org/ to click and enter the site.

3. To begin uploading reports, click on the numbers below Logbook heading:

4. Open new document to upload your PDF report.

Note: the portal takes PDF documents only, reports must be uploaded individually and clearly titled.

5. Anonymise reports by using the Words tool next to ‘Case Date’-

To save a report, click to delete, click

When entering a case collection date, a calendar will appear to select a date:

7. Continue to populate your Logbook and anonymise using words tool.

When all logbooks reports have been uploaded under relevant pathologies, click

8. The Exam date = the date of your WRITTEN exam, click on the empty box to reveal the calendar to select the date. This only applies to TTE, TOE, ACCE, Stress and Congenital Echo.

For Level 1 candidates, please enter the date of your first case.

9. Mentor tasks- Competencies: these are a click-box exercise. The mentor will log in to their own portal account and provided that the candidate has given consent for the mentor to view their Logbook, the mentor can view and comment on the uploaded cases.

Click the numbers under ‘Competencies.’

Click the on the empty area below the heading ‘Date Signed Off’ and ‘Signed Off By.’

Signed off date and mentor name will appear when a date is selected from the calendar;

10. After completing the Competencies section, go back to Mentor dashboard and click below the heading ‘Mentor Statements.’

Repeat click-box exercise under ‘Date Signed Off’, the mentor name will appear as a date is entered:

When Competencies and Mentor Statements are at 100%, the mentor’s tasks are complete.

The candidate must continue with ‘Submit Logbook.’

11. Submit Logbook: candidate to enter Candidate Dashboard

Under Actions, click Submit Logbook.

Enter Head of Department email address in the box for Sign off, click OK.

12. After entering the email address, the *validation process will begin.

Tip: if the text ‘working’ appears as buffering, try to refresh your browser.

*Please let us know when your status is ‘Validating Head of Department’ We will email them a message with a validation link.

Your Head of Echo will receive an email from requesting them to click on the link within the email to either accept or reject the statement that they are satisfied that the candidate has performed and reported cases.

Email to Head of Department (no login required- only click the relevant link in the email)

When they click on ‘Click here to accept this statement’ they will see the following message;

Note: if the ‘reject’ link is clicked, the candidate will also receive an email notification.

13. Submission is complete: visit the candidate dashboard, if the status is Submitted, no further action is required.
