4. GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL DENOTE ON PLAN THE TEMPORARY PARKINGAND STORAGE AREA WHICH ALSO SHALL BE USED AS THE EQUIPMENTMAINTENANCE AND CLEANING AREA. EMPLOYEE PARKING AREA AND AREA FORLOCATING PORTABLE FACILITIES, OFFICE TRAILERS AND TOILET FACILITIES. PLANSHALL BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
5. ALL WASH WATER (CONCRETE TRUCKS, VEHICLE CLEANING, EQUIPMENTCLEANING ETC.) SHALL BE DETAINED AND PROPERLY TREATED OR DISPOSED.
6. SUFFICIENT OIL AND GREASE ABSORBING MATERIALS AND FLOATING BOOMSSHALL BE MAINTAINED ON SITE OR READILY AVAILABLE TO CONTAIN AND CLEAN-UP FUEL OR CHEMICAL SPILLS AND LEAKS.
10. ALL MATERIALS SPILLED, DROPPED, WASHED OR TRACKED FROM VEHICLESONTO RAODWAYS OR INTO STORM DRAINS MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.
11. ON-SITE AND OFF-SITE SOIL STOCKPILE AND BORROW AREAS SHALL BEPROTECTED FROM EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION THROUGH IMPLEMENTATION OFBEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES. STOCKPILE AND BORROW AREA LOCATIONSSHALL BE NOTED ON THE SITE MAP AND PERMITTED IN ACCORDANCE WITHGENERAL PERMIT REQUIREMENTS.
12. IF WARRANTED DUE TO THE GRADE CHANGES DURING THE DEVELOPMENT OFTHE PROJECT, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ADJUSTING THEEROSION CONTROL MEASURES (SILT FENCES, STRAW BALES ETC.) TO PREVENTEROSION.
13. ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE STABILIZED AT THE END OF EACH WORKINGDAY. THIS INCLUDES BACKFILLING OF TRENCHES FOR UTILITY CONSTRUCTION ANDPLACEMENT OR BITUMINOUS PAVING FOR RAOD CONSTRUCTION.
MAINTENANCE:
ALL MEASURES STATED ON THIS EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN SHALLBE MAINTAINED IN FULLY FUNCTIONAL CONDITION UNTIL NO LONGER REQUIREDFOR A COMPLETED PHASE OF WORK OR FINAL STABILIZATION OF THE SITE. ALLEROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL MEASURES SHALL BE CHECKED BY A CITYREPRESENTATIVE AND REPAIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:

1. THE CONTRACTOR ASSUMES ALL LIABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEUTILITY PIPES, CONDUITS OR STRUCTURES SHOWN OR NOT SHOWN ON THESEDRAWINGS. PRIOR TO ANY WORK THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACTUNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT TO VERIFY LOCATION AND DEPTHS OF ANYEXISTING UTILITIES.
2. THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR AGREES THAT IN ACCORDANCE WITHGENERALLY ACCEPTED CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES, CONSTRUCTIONCONTRACTOR SHALL BE REQUIRED TO ASSUME SOLE AND COMPLETERESPONSIBILITY FOR JOB SITE DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION OF THEPROJECT INCLUDING SAFETY OF ALL PERSONS AND PROPERTY. THISREQUIREMENT SHALL BE MADE TO APPLY CONTINUOUSLY AND NOT BE LIMITEDTO NORMAL WORKING HOURS.
3. THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTOR FURTHER AGREES TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFYAND HOLD DESIGN PROFESSIONAL HARMLESS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY,REAL OR ALLEGED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THE WORK ONTHIS PROJECT, EXCEPT LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE SOLE NEGLIGENCE OF THEDESIGN PROFESSIONAL.
