Buffalo Grove Days Recap
This year's Buffalo Grove Day was held in Mike Rylko Park for the firsttime and was an unqualified success. There was record attendance for theevent, and attendees seemed to like the new more spacious location. TheChamber participated in the event in many significant ways.
The Chamber played in the Charity Softball Tournament and finished insecond place. We beat the Village team 106 in the first game, but wereshutout by the Park District 30 in the Championship game. We'll getthem next year!
The Chamber ran the Beer Tent featuring Prairie Krafts Brewery, BuffaloGrove's only microbrewery. Reviews of the local beers were outstandingand sales were strong as always.
The Chamber ran the Business Fair which attracted 21 companiesdisplaying their products and services.
The Chamber assisted with the Food Tent by contracting with 13 vendorsto provide delicious foods.
The Chamber led the way in fundraising which increased by 12% overlast year.

Overall, the Chamber was part of a community wide team that helped reinvent Buffalo Grove Days in its new location. We want to thank all thesponsors, vendors, businesses, volunteers and most of all the communityfor making this the biggest and best Buffalo Grove Days.

Weltman Bernfield Merges with Wipfli
The Milwaukeebased accounting and consulting firm Wipfli LLP acquired thelongtime Chicagoarea firm Weltman Bernfield LLC on Sept. 1.
As part of the deal, about 45 Weltman Bernfield professionals, including nine partners,will join more than 1,600 professionals at Wipfli, the firm said. Weltman Bernfield,based in Buffalo Grove, will take the Wipfli name.
"We are pleased to welcome Weltman Bernfield's highly skilled professionals to thefirm," Rick Dreher, managing partner of Wipfli, said in a statement. "The services thatWeltman Bernfield provides to their clients complement Wipfli's core services, so thiscombination will deepen our resources and further strengthen Wipfli's geographicpresence in the Chicago market.
Weltman Bernfield was founded in 1920. It provides accounting, audit, tax andbusiness consulting services to individuals and private companies in a variety ofindustries.
Wipfli, which is 86 years old, offers public and private companies and organizationsaccounting, tax and consulting services.
The combined firm will have about 1,700 associates, including more than 200partners, and 39 office locations in the U.S. and India, including four offices in theChicagoland area.

3rd Quarter 2016 New Membership Contest!!
The Chamber office will be holding a New Membership contest for thethird quarter of 2016. The purpose of the contest is to add as many newmembers as we can. The contest will run from July 1, 2016 to September30, 2016. Here are the basics of the contest.
1. Purpose to actively motivate members to recruit businesses in thelocal community to join the Chamber. Chamber members will berewarded for every business they refer to the Chamber office that becomesa BGLCC member. 2. Goal to add at least twenty five (25) new businesses to the Chamberroster. 3. BGLCC will offer financial incentives to recruit members in terms ofmembership lunches and upgraded membership packages.
a. One (1) new member = One (1) free member lunchb. Three (3) new members = Free upgrade of one (1) membershiplevel c. Five (5) new members = Free upgrade of two (2) membership levels
4. The Chamber office will provide support for your referral efforts in the

5. Contest will run from July 1st September 30th. 6. Winners will be announced at October membership lunch. Prizes willbe awarded to the top three (3) membership referrers for the contestperiod.
So, it's time to talk to that associate of yours who has been interested inthe Chamber but just hasn't joined yet. Help the Chamber keep growingand help your own business at the same time.
