CNF productionceEntek has developed a chemical free, scalable, one-step CNF production process synthesizing the product needed for inclusion into UHPC. No further treatment steps are required to ‘functionalize’ the CNF. ceEntek is using readily available carbon carriers in combination with a metal catalysts to produce CNF in a continuous process.

A highly homogenous and stable dispersion in wateris the prerequisite for the application in concrete.

ceEntek produces hydrophilic CNF that can bedispersed in water by means of Ultrasound, HydroCavitation, or high-shear mixing.

The CNF specific surface chemistry results in achemical bond with the concrete paste during thehydration process. To enhance transportability andease of use, ceEntek developed a CNF based pastethat easily dilutes in the mixing water for the UHPC.

Nano engineered Ultra-High Performance Concrete

ceEntek Pte Ltd developed ce200™, a nano engineered ultrahigh performance concrete (UHPC) which is the basis for a

range of high performance cement based UHPC and HPC products for a wide range of applications. The development of

ce200™ represents a revolution to the worldwide concrete industry realizing the vision for a nano-fibers enhanced concrete

established 25 years ago. ce200™ and its derivatives can be blended and mixed using local materials extending the

geographical range for UHPC.

UHPC system

ceEntek has developed a ‘climate adjustable’ UHPC system as

the basis for CNF enhanced UHPC. This system provides the

physical and chemical features for the enhancement with CNF.

Base materials used for this UHPC system (cement and graded

sand) are all commercially available worldwide allowing for a

cost effective local implementation of ceUHPC™. To avoid long

term degradation effects of the UHPC as is typical for multi-

ingredients based products, ceEntek has limited the use of

ingredients and strictly follows quality control procedures.

ce200™ is a carbon nano-fibers enhanced ultrahigh performance concrete (ceUHPC™) with unique physical and chemical

features and benefits meeting the requirements of the most demanding applications. Due to its low porosity and dense structure

ce200™ is impermeable, has negligible chloride penetration and is resistant to most chemicals. Its low carbonation rate, about

10 times less than normal concrete, extends its useful life to 100+ years. ce200™ can be combined with microfibers including

steel-, PE-, PVA and mineral fibers to form UHPFRC systems with flexural strength of up to 50MPa.

• Compressive strength 180MPa, flexural strength 25MPa with standard curing (28 days)

• Total porosity < 5% (mercury intrusion method)

• E-modulus 47GPa to 52GPa

• No water carrying capillaries, impermeable, negligible chloride penetration, UV resistant

ce200LH™ is a lightweight/high-strength concrete with the strength of normal concrete at half the density. It replaces normal

concrete or composite materials for two and three dimensional precast elements. All other features and benefits are similar to

ce200™. ce200LH™ is prepared using highly homogenous micro-foam.

ce200LH™ lightweight/high-strength Features and Benefits:

• 16 hours Compressive strength >10MPa with 35MPa@28 days

• Flexural strength up to 8MPa (28 days)

• Impermeable, superior thermal and noise insulation. Thermal conductivity 0.35W/mK

• Very low carbonation rate, no chloride penetration, UV resistant, gas-tight

• Superior bonding strength to other cementitious materials and to steel

• Excellent performance under fire

ce200LH™ reduces the weight of PPVC units by up to 50% while adding thermal and

noise insulation.

ce200™- 140G is non-shrinkage UHPC grout for wind-tower installations, sub-sea repair and stabilization.

Increased focus on sustainable energy generation is creating new challenges for cementing and grouting as Wind Farms are

moving further offshore and individual towers are getting taller. In addition, an aging oil- and gas exploration infrastructure

requires repair and strengthening to extend its useful life and limit environmental risks. ce200™-140G meets the requirements

for the most challenging applications.

ce200™- 120D combines strength, chemical resistance and microbial protection due its optimized formulation and extreme

dense surface. ce200TM – 120D is a two phase, non-shrinkage, high performance concrete grout which produces a

homogenous, easily flowable and sprayable material with superior final strength and modulus. It has been formulated to

combine the strength of an OPC based system with the sulfuric acid resistant of a calcium alumina cement based one.

ceEntek’s advanced Nano engineered binder and packing optimization produces a high-strength concrete with best in class

performance, superior rheological properties, and extended lifetime.

ce200™- 120G is the ideal Repair concrete or grout for strengthening and protecting against further deterioration. Its superior

strength and dense structure eliminate the need for further protective coatings. It is typically used with relevant formwork

allowing a strength controlled repair of the underlying column or beam. Due to its optimal bonding with existing concrete and/or

steel ce200™- 120G builds a non permeable layer eliminating further oxidation and carbonation of the underlying structure.

ceEntek has been able to overcome the limitations for carbon nano-fiber enhanced ultrahigh performance concrete. ceUHPC™

expands the horizon for UHPC in terms of performance, cost, ease of use, carbon footprint, and climate zone adaptation.

Easy to Prepare and Use

ceUHPC™ can be prepared, used, and applied like normal concrete. Both precast and on-site fabrications are supported. The

material is self-setting and self-leveling. No steam curing or enclaving is required to reach the desired strength and performance.

Environmentally Friendly

The cement content of ceUHPC™ can be limited by using pozzolanic cement replacements like GGBS (ground granulated blast-

furnace slag), RHA (rice husk ash), Fly-ash, and similar materials. Environmentally friendly, waste products or sustainable

aggregates can be used based on the performance level required. Due to its high strength per volume (up to five times higher

than normal concrete) and its lack of chemical additives ceUHPC™ has the lowest carbon footprint of all known UHPC variations.
