How Teachers are Learning: Professional Development Remix
Informal learning needs to play a role.
Teachers say again and again that they get the most value out of informal learning opportunities such as EdCamps and Twitter chats. That suggests these activities need to be leveraged and included in their professional development. Such informal learning needs to be demonstrable, measurable, and go beyond reflections.

Snapshots (aka Speedgeeking)
SIS teachers present and participate in short learning events related to
technology available to them to support learning in their classrooms. At a
‘snapshot’ event a variety of sessions and topics are offered and sessions are
only 15 to 30 minutes long.
These are longer, in depth sessions on specific topics
Extended Professional Sharing Events
Transforming Learningwith the iPad
These events involved workshops presented by SIS staff members to
SIS staff and participants from other schools, both locally and from
around Asia .
