COMMITTEE REPORTS Events Committee Chair is Kim Piazza Join us for our Home Tour kick off Member Mixer at Railroad Pizza & Pub 5:00 to 7:00 pm on September 7, to kick off the 11th Annual SICBA Home Tour. The theme is Jerseys and Jeans, so wear your favorite team’s jersey and of course jeans. Pizza, salad and bread sticks will be provided. Register for this event beginning August 1st at www.SICBAEvents.com. The home tour this year runs September 8, 9, 10 and consists of 11 homes in Skagit and Island Counties. Judging for these home will take place earlier on the 6

th and 7th, so ribbons for the winners will be

presented at the Member Mixer. If you have a home in the tour, make sure to attend and invite your homeowners, and sub-contractors so you can receive your ribbons to display.

Membership Committee Chair is Dee Dee Swartz Check your mailbox! We mailed you all the details for September FUN: Help us kick-off the Home Tour on Thursday, Sept 7

th and bring a prospective new member

with you. All SICBA members are invited to take advantage of discounted tickets to Skagit Speedway on Saturday, September 16 AND all 2017 new members and recruiters qualify for the “Peer to Pier” Cruise, Friday September 30 leaving from Anacortes at 4:30. Recruit a new member and receive your exclusive cruise tickets! Please invite others to be part of the Skagit/Island Counties Builders Association – we are counting on your help! Be proud of your membership; display SICBA decals at your business and on your vehicles. Contact the SICBA office if you would like additional decals and/or electronic logos. We need your help! As we enter SICBA’s Fall Membership Drive, we need more members like you. It’s easy to do – SICBA is a group that shares a common set of values and beliefs. We don’t all know each other, but we surround ourselves with people who believe as we do. And you do business with people/companies that share your set of values and beliefs. Compare your Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable list with the current SICBA membership directory on the website, or call Elli. Are you doing business with companies that are not current members of the Skagit/Island Counties Builders Association? Now is the time to invite them to become members. Why should they join? For the same reasons you are a member. People don’t buy what you do, but why you do it.
