Hi Folks,On behalf of our friends and partners at Dalton Herefords, White Ranch, Wirth Herefords, Amundson Herefords, GNA Farms and

Checkered Flag Farms...I thank you for your interest in our programs and I welcome you to our Annual Built to Last Production Sale. It’s sure been many years of

blood, sweat, and a few tears put in at our farm just like yours. We love what we do and we are all so blessed that God gives us a plan to follow every day and having this chance to work our passion is both rewarding and fulfilling. We calve about 165 Hereford cows right here in Western Wisconsin every year and we breed for maternal, easy fleshing cattle that can hold up in any climate and look good doing it. I thank our many Hereford friends both new and old that have helped us along. I thank our many long time customers for putting faith in our program, without you we don’t have a program and I always look forward to visiting with you!

I won’t spend much time talking about all of the cattle as you will see and read that we believe we’ve put together another set for your inspection this year that includes high quality show heifer prospects, young cows heading into the prime of their young careers, bull calves that will work for just about any program as well as some embryo opportunities. We did make a fairly large splash around here with the purchase of our new lead herd bull “Rio”. You will find a write up about him in this catalog and you will also see that every cow offered in the sale is mated back to this exciting bull!

Once again I thank Lance for his never ending passion for this herd of cows. It’s a ton to stay out in front of and he makes it look easy most days. He’s a high quality, thoughtful young man that I’m proud to call my friend. Jared continues to plug away at these tough Wisconsin winters and his patience always blows me away, I wish I had half of his patience.

Mom and Dad continue to be the rock not only for me, but my entire family. I could spend all day talking about what these people mean to me. The old saying, “Grandparents are special because they always take the time to do the things that Mom’s and Dad’s don’t take time to do,” is so true. I was a very lucky kid to have the Grandparents that I did, I think about them a lot as I’m sure many of you do.

Jes and the kids do a good job of keeping me going and I’m awfully blessed to have those hands to hang onto. I love them all more than words can say and being Dad is the best job I could have ever asked for.

Our Family welcomed the addition of Brantley and Kamdyn in this past year!! These boys have got us all in stitches and nothing draws a family closer than new additions. Their parents are absolute naturals. These boys will be chasing Herefords before we know it! My entire family inspires me to always try and do better. They are all unique and quick to laugh and I’m very proud of each and every one of them.

Lastly, I thank Ben and his family. Jordan has done an outstanding job in the show ring and we are so proud of her and she’s also been assigned the task of training Brady how to get around the ring as well and he’s latched right on. Ben and Nicole are so supportive and making sure the kids are ready at these shows is no easy ask.

We invite you to a weekend in Western Wisconsin! We will have a social and viewing of the cattle Friday night, our sale will be Saturday afternoon and the Genetic Selection sale hosted by the Larson family will be Sunday.

As always, I thank you for your very most precious commodity...your time.

Andy

the forefront. This is a bigtime show heifer that will compete on any stage. Just so complete from nose to tail. Big topped, clean fronted, deep flanked heifer that is cherry red right to the ground. Her dam, Kendra, did a whole bunch of winning for us and the 88X mating just flat worked. Definitely a heifer we’re real proud of. We can’t wait to see her develop. A very bright future in the showring and a future donor right here!

• We would like to retain show rights through Denver.

pasture. She’ll be a show heifer in her own right in that horned division and one that is moderate in her design on an excellent set of running gear. Red right to the ground and just a kitten of a heifer to work with for a junior. She possesses natural muscle expression and once again, this flush just flat worked!

heifer that has that showring look with that clean front and she is another one that couldn’t be easier to work with. This is one that could be big time come next summer. We can all have fun with a good show heifer, but our future remains with mama cows and the future with this one will be fun to see.

when I try to describe this one. Time and feed will be this heifer’s friend and one that will compete next summer. Her dam, Kendra, has a Minnesota State Fair champion on her resume and Courtland did plenty of winning. He has a full sister that was a reserve calf champion in Denver. Simply put, she has plenty of good cattle in her pedigree and this is one that requires very little guess work.

will be a heck of a herd bull for a progressive Hereford breeder anywhere in the country. I love these TNT cattle and I’m not alone in my assessment of his progeny. They are some of the prettiest uddered, easy fleshing cattle on the farm. This bull is a big-time prospect and will be easy to find on sale day. Picture day at the farm was 90 degrees and muggy and this guy just wouldn’t go along with a picture, but I think you’re gonna love this one.

• Loreal x Right Track right here. We sure wish we would have gotten more heifers out of this flush, however, the bull calves look good as well. One right here that will make a donor down the road potentially after her show career. One that we have sure appreciated since day one. If you would like to see Loreal, we’re happy to show her to you anytime and I believe this is one that could certainly follow in mama’s footsteps. We think a whole bunch about the Right Track bull, a bull we will continue to use with future flushes here at the farm.

COW

• This William 2-year-old is one that we are real proud to offer. Her dam, Penelope W343, is a Dam of Distinction still walking the pastures here in Western Wisconsin. This young cow is an absolute powerhouse that is extremely easy fleshing much like her mother. The kind that looks good all year in our tough winters. She puts it all together with a real balanced set of EPDs. This is one that did a nice job on her first try as evidenced by that heifer baby at side. This is one that could sure make her way to a donor pen.

• Safe in calf to Advance 624. Due early March.

I sure think a lot of the Kilowatts cattle and make no secrets about that. Our selection of Enticer in Denver from Ridgeview Farms came real easy to us. Enticer is a past Minnesota State Fair champ and his daughters are all out to impress. This is the type of heifer that will work anywhere in the country.

• Plus Z58 is a Mohican bred power cow in her own right, entering the prime time of her career. She’s never missed for us and we have all the confidence that her new owner will like this set up. EPDs most certainly match up with this young matron. Big footed, big middled and a front pasture cow that you’ll want to find on sale day. An extremely predictable heavy milker right here. Check out that baby boy at side.

• Safe in calf to Advance 624. Due mid-February.

Dear Fellow Hereford Breeders, Cattlemen & Friends,

Welcome to this year’s “Built To Last Sale,” an annual production sale, hosted by Lamb Bros., along with their guests and partners: Checkered Flag Farms, GNA Farms, Dalton’s Polled Herefords, Wirth Herefords, the White Ranch and Amundson Cattle Company. The quality of this year’s sale offering is the best and deepest to date and is backed by some of the most popular and proven genetics in the breed.

The sale offering features an excellent set of young mothers and future herd matrons, complimented by a set of proven and productive cows; all that are the keeping kind and “Built to Last.” The young females are from the heart of the herd and are being offered only because of Lamb Bros. continued committment to offer their best from their program. The quality of the heifer calf offering is stout and deep and the type and kind to compete. The bull lineup features the best set of herd sire prospects ever offered in this sale, bulls that have a promising future for the purebred and/or the commercial cattleman. There will be a select few steers sold as well.

The demand for quality genetics is not only strong but also as important as ever and Lamb Bros. commitment to the beef cattle industry and the Hereford breed is evident and real. As you study this catalog you will find that Lamb Bros. have invested a lot of time and money building their program. No corners were cut and only breed leading genetics from breed leaders throughout North America and Canada were purchased and used. In doing this, Lamb Bros. have positioned themselves for the long haul as a seedstock producer/source, providing quality, proven, predictable, performance oriented seedstock to Hereford breeders and commercial cattlemen.

The family farm is recognized as a Century Farm, having been in the Lamb Family for over 100 years. Faith, Family, Friends along with hard work, determination and honesty are values the Lamb Family lives by. Andy’s enthusiasm and energy is inspiring and Ben’s support, strength and guidance is admired and respected. Both live by the values instilled in them by their parents. Lance Wirth’s loyalty to the Lamb Family and his dedication to this herd and the Hereford breed is unmatched and never ending. All three have a deep passion and strong commitment to the cattle business and the folks that are part of it.

If we at Lowderman Auction Options can be of any assistance, feel free to contact Cody or Monte at the numbers listed below. We look forward to seeing you at the social on Friday evening, Sept. 29 and invite you to the sale on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017.

H FHF ADVANCE RIO 624 ET. Introducing our new lead herd bull, “RIO.” Rio was a major addition to our program this past year and, quite frankly, we could not be more excited. Bred by the Frederickson and Hoffman families, this polled bull made quite an impression on us in Denver and we knew the bull could do us a lot of good. His full sister was named the reserve horned grand champion at the Junior National for the Skiles family. The bull himself was a member of the Hoffman carload in Denver. Rio is a smooth polled bull and we can’t wait to see his offspring! Rio is the service sire for every cow in this sale!! We have a limited number of semen packages available so feel free to inquire. A real game changer for us. Please keep us posted as his calves hit the ground in 2018!!
