It is our great pleasure we welcome you to our very First Annual Bull Sale on the farm. The last 2 years have been extremely busy; moving Brad and

his cow herd west and growing our registered cow herd. It made for an easy decision to market our bulls at home. We look forward to having the bulls

remain in their feed pens and have you appraise them with lots of room to move around and reduce the stress of hauling, sorting, and new surround-ings. Then make your way into our calving/sale barn for a delicious lunch and hospitality, followed by a video sale starting at 2pm. DLMS as well as

We couldn’t be more thrilled about the two pens of bulls on offer for our first bull sale on the farm! With just over 40 bulls in the sale we split the two

divisions down the middle. Half of the bulls being January born yearlings and the other half the May born Extra Age bulls. The Extra age bulls are

weaned the end of November and then put on a light grower ration for the winter, allowing them to really develop slow and steady, and then turned out onto grass for the summer. If you looking for a little extra bull power these guys have the ability to really cover ground and handle bigger groups of

cows come breeding season. The January born yearlings are mostly out of Brads powerful Big Sky cows. This group of cows is proving its worth after being trucked here from Manitoba in March through May of 2017. These

cows excelled on the Northern Alberta grass and then weaned exceptional calves that we sold last year in the Peace country Simmental sale. These

bull calves are an impressive set, with likely some of the best polled fullbloods we’ve ever raised!

With around 600 mother cows calving here between two season, we have high expectations for our cow herd. The need for self sufficient females is essential, without sacrificing high producing performance cattle. With that being said udder quality is very high on our radar, due to the fact these calves need to get up and nurse on their own. With commercial herds

continually increasing in size and man power remaining the same, we know the importance first hand for these cattle to perform unassisted.

The 40+ bulls on offer we feel would be a welcome addition to anyone’s bull batteries. The depth of traits and abilities throughout each pen of bulls

should fulfill the needs of many different farms and breeding programs. The variety of each range from calving ease, performance, easy fleshing, heavy haired, horned or polled in each the reds, blacks, fullbloods and

fleckviehs.

These bulls are the product of a cow herd we are so proud of and we spend unlimited time trying to improve. The cattle industry and Simmental breed are our true passion and we look forward to sharing it with you on February 25th, on the Farm for the first time. Coffee is always on and the

bulls are always available for viewing.

She was AI’d to 45F’s sire Wiwa Creek Rush Lake and lucky for us she laid down and had this fancy bull calf. With no intentions of being Angus breeders we bred her Simmental to cre-ate those ever popular half bloods. A powerhouse Envoy son, one of this years biggest long yearlings. Big Barreled and heavy muscled, Earl carries himself like all of the Envoy sons on a beautiful set of feet. Foot structure in these bulls is second to none. His dam a cow we acquired from SIBL is know around here as deep body, for her big easy keeping appear-ance and full middle. A maternal brother sold last year to Melburn Holdings.

Emmett is the youngest of the long yearlings being the only fall born bull. He is all guts butts and nuts, in all the good ways. More moderate made for the Envoy sons, but has filled out to be the stoutest, thickest bull in the pen. An eye catching stout made bull out of a first calf heifer, Ranchero is a great mix of calving ease and performance. The Bacillus (or Richlar as we call him) calves are consistently coloured cherry red with great hair and develop into extremely thick calves. Out of a Vindicator female that is shaping up to be a very hard working fertile young cow.

One of the younger bulls in the long yearling pen, 39E is a smaller framed more moder-ate Sonic, but as you will see is stamped with his sires colour and pigment pattern. A neat bull that could cross well on many types of cows, with a very productive cow family be-hind him stemming back to BLI Reva. A very productive cow that did great things for us.

Its never easy to part with Heifers you breed and want to add to your herd. These 15 females are from the heart of our commercial program. Exposed to calving ease Polled Hereford and Red Angus sires from July 10-October 12th, these females will sell in groups of 5, and are due to start calving the 15 of April. They come preg tested safe in calf by Dr. Evan Lowe of Emerson Trail Vet Services on November 22, 2018. Sired by Simmental bulls their dams range from straight simmental based cows to Simm x Hereford, Simm x Angus, and a few straight RedAngus females. These females will make great additions to your herd as they would ours, as they come directly from our keeper pen of 70 commercial bred heifers.

Commercial Bred Heifers

TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, and wire transfers, payable at par at the sale location unless satisfactory payment ar-rangements have been made prior to the sale with seller, buyer and Bohrson Marketing Services. Bohr-son Marketing Services reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Payment in full must be made before cattle can be released and shipped. Exchange rates will be announced sale day and the sale will be held in Canadian funds.

BIDDING: All animals to sell through the sale must be sold by auction with each animal selling to the highest bidder. Private sales will not be al-lowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.

DISPUTES: In cases of disputes, bid-ding will be reopened between the parties involved in the dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auction-eer accepted the last bid and the auctioneer’s decision will be final.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any announce-ment from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are there-fore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.

LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at the their own risk.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY: A reg-istration certificate issued by the applicable breed association and a certificate of registry duly trans-ferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after final payment has been made.

PREGNANCY INFORMATION: All bred females have been pregnancy exam-ined by an accredited veterinarian,

who has provided the seller with an estimated length of gestation. The estimated gestation period shall be used only as a guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual ser-vice. Bohrson Marketing Services will provide supplement sheets with breeding services provided for the purchaser.

HEALTH: All sale animals have met all necessary health requirements and it is the buyer’s responsibility and expense to determine health re-quirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Bohrson Marketing Services assume no re-sponsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.

PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
