Food Bank and St. Vincent de Paul We are always welcome to contribute food to the Food Bank boxes in the vestibule of the church, and clothing and small appliances to the St. Vincent de Paul box in the vestibule of the church hall. The third Sunday of the month is our special time for the Food Bank. We now have receptacles on both sides of the entrance.

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated in our parish May 28, 2016 at 5:15 p.m. Baptized Roman Catholic members of the parish, grade 7 or older who wish to be confirmed, will be enrolled as candidates for Confirmation during weekend Masses Jan. 9 and 10. Forms for the registration of candidates may be received from Our Lady of Lourdes School for students and from the Parish Office for all others.

2015 Church Offering Envelopes are prepared. Please collect from the church vestibule. All members of the parish with an income are needed to help support the church. Those who should have their names added to our list of envelope holders are asked to contact the office. If your contact information has changed, please inform the office.

Regiopolis-Notre Dame High School presents Mary Poppins 130 Russell St. Wed. Dec. 9, to Sat. Dec. 12, 7 pm (adults $20, Students $12). Additional matinee performance Sat. Dec. 12, at 2 pm. (Adults $15, Students $8, Children $6.) Tickets on sale at the school or call 613-545-1902

Flowers for Christmas Donations, in memoriam, or for the intentions of your beloved relatives and friends, are being received now. These funds will be used to purchase flowers for the glory of God and to beautify the Christmas liturgies. Your donations, as always, will receive income tax receipts and will be gratefully acknowledged. Envelopes are in the vestibule of the church. The intentions will be remembered at all Christmas liturgies and posted in the church entrance.

CWL MEETING CHANGE The regular CWL meeting for Tues Dec 8 will take place at Marion Homes in the common room. There will be a brief meeting followed by a Christmas social from 1:00-3:00 pm. Please bring a small plate of goodies and a very small gift. All are welcome.

2016 St. Joseph Missals are available Our parish Knights of Columbus have again generously volunteered to handle the sale of missals in the Church vestibule. Missals $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00.

Archdiocese of Kingston Feast of the Immaculate Conception and the Inauguration of the Jubilee Year of MercyArchbishop O’Brien invites all faithful to celebrate the Archdiocesan Feast of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, 8 December, 7:30 p.m., at St. Mary’s Cathedral. On this day, the Holy Father, Pope Francis, will inaugurate the Jubilee Year of

Mercy and open the Holy Door of Mercy in the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. The Holy Father is asking that, in every diocese, there also be a celebration of the Rite of Opening of the Holy Door in unity with the Universal Church, so that all can participate and obtain the indulgences promised in this Jubilee Year. St. Mary’s Cathedral will open the Holy Door on Sunday, 13 December at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. All are cordially invited to celebrate and take advantage of this extraordinary Year of Mercy.

Holy Innocents Candlelight Vigil Monday, December 28, 2015 from 7:00 pm. until 8:00 pm in front of Kingston General Hospital. At this time, during the Christmas Season, we remember the Holy Innocents, the babies who were killed by Herod seeking the Christ Child. We will gather to pray for our “innocents”, the more than 35,000 babies killed at KGH by the sin of abortion. Please join us at 6:45 p.m. on the hill across from KGH (Stuart St.) for prayers and hymns. Please bring your own candle in a glass jar (flashlight for children)-we will have some on hand too.
