HURRICANE RELIEF TRIP TO WILMINGTON — OCT 30—NOV 2

NEW STUDY IN LADIES’ SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS TODAY!

Mark your calendars and make plans to be a part of

Towne South’s 2018 Christmas Celebration! The theme

for this year is “Ring in the Season!” A combined group of

children, teens, and adults of all ages will share the

message of Christmas through music, song,

choreography, dialogue, and yes, bells! To make this

special presentation more available to our

community, there will be three performances: Saturday, December 8 at 4:30 PM

and Sunday, December 9 during both the 8:45 AM and 11:15 AM services. Our

children will play an intricate part in this presentation, and need to attend

rehearsals on Wednesday evenings from 6 PM to 7:30 PM. The rehearsal

schedule is available at the JAMTowne Board, as well as The Hub.

PLEASE NOTE: Wednesday, October 24 is the final day to sign your child up to

participate in this production. We will begin assigning solo parts and costume

fitting after that date.

As always, we need many extra hands to help with this big

endeavor! We will need stage managers, snack organizers, costume

and set designers, etc. Please let Sissy know ASAP if you are willing

to help in any way. If you have any questions or concerns, please

see or contact Sissy at [email protected] , call 338-2248 or call or

text 619-2592. Thank you!

Sign up for our Mid-Week Update by emailing

[email protected] and you will receive all the Towne

South news in your inbox each Wednesday afternoon!

Towne South will celebrate its 2018 Fall Festival NEXT

Sunday, October 28th

from 5:30 -7:30 PM! This is a

wonderful opportunity for us to have some good ole

family fun and reach out to our community! Those

who are bringing food, please have it here, hot and

ready, by 5 PM so we can get it set out on the tables.

Those who are helping with any other activities such as

games, hayrides, inflatables, or Trunk or Treat, please

be here at 5 PM to get further instruction. Trunk or

Treat volunteers will need to park in the roped off area in the back parking lot.

There, you may set up and be ready to hand out candy at 7 PM. WE STILL NEED

MORE TRUNK VOLUNTEERS!

Want to help? Sign up sheets are available at The Hub for food, activity, and

trunk or treat volunteers. Stop by and sign up today! Also, flyers are available at

The Hub to take and give as invitations to friends, family and coworkers.

Questions? Contact Sissy at [email protected] or call/text 619-2592.

We have taken a number of our men to recent

ENCCMF meetings. They are most informative

of what is happening in the new church plants

and are a time to enjoy a good meal and

fellowship. Old Ford Church of Christ is just

north of Washington, NC. The meal is at 7 PM. We will not be able to drive the

bus this time, as it will be on the Sight and Sound trip.

There is another trip being

organized to Wilmington, NC to help

with the relief effort there. Our

Student Minister, Corbin Kuhn, is

organizing this trip and will have

more details once he knows what

the number of volunteers will be. Here is what we do know right now:

Where: Partnering with Venture Church in Wilmington. We will be staying in a

house owned by Cape Fear Christian Church.

When: Plans are to leave at 7 AM Tuesday morning and return Friday evening.

What: We will be performing tree removal, helping people remove ruined

items from their home and ruined insulation from crawl spaces and attics, and

building temporary storage sheds, etc.

If you are interested in going on this trip, text/call Corbin at (757) 407-2355 or

email him at [email protected].

Today, the Ladies' Sunday School class

will begin a 13-week study of Hebrews, a

letter written in the late A.D. 60's. "After

accepting Jesus as their Messiah, Jewish

Christians continued to be zealous for the

temple rites and sacrifices, thinking that

their beloved city was about to become

the capital of the world under Messiah's

reign." Instead, they were to receive the

shock of their lives when the Roman army would wipe out Jerusalem and the

temple in A.D. 70. This letter will prepare these Christians (and us) to rejoice in

the "better" way to God. The ladies meet in Room 109 (left of stage) at 10:15 AM.

Twenty-one Towne South’ers will leave

Thursday morning, October 25 at 7 AM

aboard the Towne South bus for

Lancaster, PA to see the stage

production of “Jesus” at the Sight and

Sound Theater. The group will return on

Saturday, October 27. Jonathan will send a detailed itinerary by email to each

participant. If you have questions, please see Jonathan or call/text him at

312-3232. The group seeks your prayers for protection and travel mercies during

their journey!

Morgan Family Dentistry will be offering free fillings

and tooth extractions for all veterans on November

9, 2018, at their office located at 153 Worth Guard

Road, Coinjock, NC. This event will be first come, first

serve beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at

3 p.m. Drs. David Morgan, Frank Bald and Pat

Morgan want to show their appreciation to the men

and women who have given so much.

Veterans need to bring proof of service, list of current medications, and name

and phone number of current physicians. If you take blood thinners or have

replacement joints, call the office at 252-453-2181 two weeks before the event.
