Our trading partner engaged with Double Dynasty Palm Oil Mill in February. A moratorium of land clearing is in place, while documentation evidences of Radiant Lagoon’s operations is analyzed. Our trading partner scheduled a field visit for end March 2019. Feb-19: Bruno Manser Fund reports that 4,440 HC near the Mulu National Park in Sarawak was deforested for palm oil plantations. Bunge’s internal monitoring system show clearing close to the Mulu National Park 2017, 2018 and most recent in Feb 2019. Based on the latest news paper publications the deforested land in question belongs to local communities. Bunge will pro-actively engage its trade partners to verify their connections to the alleged area.

• Dinant confirmed removal of all weapons of security guards. This commitment has been verified via visit of external stakeholders. Dinant developed a security policy and training program for security guards. Guards have been hired from nearby local communities.

• Dinant has done a lot of effort to facilitate the dialogue with peasant groups living in the communities, one example is the implementation of a Grievance Mechanism.

• Dinant improved relationships with communities via volunteering and CSR activities focusing on Health, Education, Environmental and Safety.

• A large team was installed to facilitate community engagement, safety, health and environmental efforts, and human rights compliance.

Based on the progress made, Dinant delivered on the Bunge milestones and suspension will be lifted.

Feb-19: our intel partner confirmed clearance stop and moratorium in place. Jan-19: our intel partner did not detect any further clearance since the stop work order on PT PBP. Jun-18: our trade partner confirmed there is a timebound action plan for the assessment and preparation of the HCSA. May-18: moratorium in place, confirmed by our intel partner. Bunge continues to monitor the Grievance list of our trade partner IOI Group. Feb-18: Our intel partner observed active clearing in Nov17 and Dec17. IOI commercial team contacted IJM and requested an immediate stop clearing as well as an action plan to deal with these allegations and other policy gaps. IJM confirmed their commitments to “no deforestation” and “no peat planting”. IJM completed an HCV study on PT PBP in 2014 and will engage with independent experts to conduct a HCS

started active engagement with its trade partner in 2018 to verify its connections to RH Group. Our direct trade partner informed they are engaging with both Jaya Tiasa and RH Group. Jaya Tiasa committed to our trade partner’s NDPE policy and shared relevant information for further analysis. Updates can be found: here. Nov-19: ME reports about deforestation of 79ha in a concession owned by Makin. Bunge is investigating the allegations with its trade partners. Jul-19: ME reports about deforestation of 25ha of peat development. Bunge contacted its trade partners for latest updates. Our trader partner informed Bunge business activities of PT MKK ceased since September 2016. Feb-19: evidence was provided to Mighty Earth that Makin is not connected to PT Krida Dharma Kahuripan. Dec-18: following the engagement of our trade partner evidence was provided that the alleged clearance was not conducted by Makin Group. Oct-18: our trade partner received evidence that clearing inside the PT Krida Dharma

Kahuripan concession was not conducted by Makin and consider the grievance as closed. For details please check the grievance list of our trade partner: here Oct-18: our trading partners received confirmation and evidence from Makin Group that they no longer own this concessions. We have contacted our trading partners for clarification on their engagement with Makin Group. Following their engagement they have confirmed that PT KDH is no longer a concession owned by the Makin Group. They will continue their engagement to verify this.

Jun-19: Bunge received two NGO reports on alleged political and human rights violations in locations of Socfin in Sierra Leone and Cameroon. Bunge is not connected to these locations, but linked to other Socfin locations in SEA. Bunge will contact its trade partners for further updates.

No connection to Bunge’s supply chain. Jun-19: Bunge verified the alleged deforestation via in-house GIS monitoring system. It appears that clearing was outside of the concession owned by Wings Group. Bunge will continue to monitor the locations. Apr-19: Bunge received the information from Aidenvironment that clearing was detected in one of the Wings locations connected to Bunge.
