ORIGIN

• The academic week is a student project of higher education. Usually, each University has its own academic week.

• Despite having several names, academic week is often called "Burning of the Ribbons".

PRAXIS• The praxis “goal” is to integrate new students into college. Unfortunately, in

recent years the practice for this purpose has disappeared and gave rise to abuses caused by older students.

COSTUME

• Students wear special costumes representing the course. Normally, students wear black socks, black shoes, black pants or skirt, white shirt and tie or black papilon but on the Burning Day, students also wear a hat with the representative colour of their course, a stick of the same colour and the folder also used on other occasions.

CARS

• Before the parade students decorate colourful cars representing their respective courses.
