Attention focuses on targeting prospective funders and developing a comprehensive executive summary for your business plan to succeed in attracting new funding opportunities. Participants learn how to approach the executive summary in a meaningful way and how to prepare your business plan to address potential objections from funders. Time is also devoted to ensure you have all the pieces in place to reassure investors that you have addressed the primary issues that may come up in a pitch for funding. As an integral part of the entrepreneurial financial management process, "bootstrapping” techniques will demonstrate how to manage the limited resources that most entrepreneurs have available for their venture. About the Speaker Maria is a consultant with more than 25 years experience in start-ups, international business development, strategic planning, marketing and export-import transactions. She provides training for executives who are relocated for assignments abroad and managers of companies making international acquisitions. She has lectured on international business topics at conferences and to trade and professional organizations in the U.S. and Europe. Maria has taught global business management and international marketing courses at UCLA and the University of Redlands, and at education institutions in China, Ukraine and Georgia. Prior to consulting and teaching, she managed international business development and international relations activities for the aerospace and industrial groups of Sundstrand Corporation. Maria holds a bachelor's degree in organization and techniques of foreign trade from the College of Economics of Foreign Trade in Czechoslovakia, and a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. She is fluent in several European languages.
