Sunset Travel & Tours Company was founded in 2000. From a single office in Kuala

Lumpur, today Sunset Travel & Tours Company has a few branch offices in major cities in

Malaysia such as Selangor, Johor, Penang and Sabah. This company provides professional

travel management services to a wide variety of individuals, and corporations. Besides, this

company provides high quality products and services that allow them to excel in this service

industry for more than 10 years. Sunset Travel & Tours is dedicated in meeting every

customer’s needs, expectations and desires. They also stake their business reputation on

their satisfaction in quality services and products while still offering reasonable prices. Apart

from that, Sunset Travel & Tours actively participates in MATTA fairs and Malaysia Airline

fairs as well. Also, this company works closely with government agencies, state economic

development corporations and political parties in promoting tourism.

As one of the best travel agencies, Sunrise College has requested a proposal from

this company on its annual company trip. Sunset Travel & Tours has decided the trip to be

held in Tioman Island or Bandung for Sunrise College. It is wise to consider these both places

since the cost can be minimized and other beneficial factors do available. This company has

decided for the trip to be held on the 8th - 10th of August 2014. The objectives of this annual

company trip are to bring people together, maintain a good relationship between the

employees, gain new experiences as well as to provide opportunities for employees to

develop and enhance their socialization and citizenship skills.

The Highlights of Tioman Island

Tioman lies about 56 kilometers of the coast in the federal state of Pahang. Together

with Perhentian Island and Redang Island, Tioman is the most popular island on the eastern

side of the peninsula. The island is especially known for its wonderful diving and snorkelling

possibilities. There are many resorts on the island, catering for every type of traveller.

Tioman is a duty-free island, which means some items are much cheaper compared to prices

at the mainland. This especially goes for alcohol; which is clearly cheaper compared to other

tropical island (only a few ringgits for a beer or cocktail).

Tioman is located 32km from Mersing. Overall the island has a very tranquil

atmosphere. The inland of Tioman is covered in thick jungle; the edges of the island are

populated. Because Tioman is part of a Marine Park, all visitors have to pay a marine park

entrance fee of RM5 upon arrival.

Tioman is an island paradise with white sandy beaches surrounded by blue waters

and coral reefs perfect for snorkelling or scuba diving. At different times of the year it is

possible to see Whale Sharks. Other marine life includes manta rays, sea turtles and

dolphins.

The island has the very distinct twin peaks mountain at the southern end of the

island. The natural beauty of the island is its biggest attraction. Lush tropical jungle covers

about 12,000 hectares of the island and countless mountain streams and waterfalls sustain

the many protected species of mammals and birds. The waters around the island are filled

with corals of all shapes and colours and home to a vast diversity of sea creatures, including

two species of marine turtles. There are a few excellent beaches at Tioman, and these

curves of golden sand are usually tucked away at the edges of villages or fronting one of the

many resorts.

Tioman has options for every kind of holiday-makers: families with small children,

honeymooners, scuba divers, backpackers, adventurers and even those looking for a slice of

exclusivity and luxury. Most places to stay are clustered around the villages that are dotted

along Tioman’s coastline while there are a few small resorts that are built around private

beach coves.

Because of the absence of roads on Tioman, the only way to reach all the attractions

Asah waterfall just outside of Mukut Village:

From the jetty, a short trek through the jungle brings you to one of the most

impressive waterfalls on the island. The pools of cool mountain water are a great

place to refresh after the sweaty walk.

Known as the dragon’s horns, Tioman’s famous peaks are an impressive sight at the

southern end of the island and popular with adventurous rock-climbers.

The island’s main village, Tekek, is where most of the duty-free shops are, selling

Renggis Island

Located right in front of the Berjaya Resort, this tiny rocky island has some of the

most impressive coral formations around it and is a popular stop for snorkelling as

well as scuba diving.

Round Island tours range that usually offer by the travel agency is from RM 80-120 per

person, depending on the starting point, duration and type of boat used. However, Sunset

The Highlights of Bandung, Indonesia

Set 750m above sea level, and protected by a fortress of watchful volcanoes 190km

southeast of Jakarta, Bandung is the third largest city in Indonesia and a centre of industry

and traditional Sundanese arts – with plenty of cultural performances for tourists – though

it suffers from incredible traffic pollution and uninteresting modern developments.

Sundanese culture has remained intact here since the fifth century when the first Hindu

Sundanese settled in this part of West Java. Modern Bandung's main tourist attraction is

nearby Tangkuban Perahu volcano, from where there's a very pleasant two-hour forest walk

down to the city, too.

Bandung is the capital of West Java province. The city was in ancient times was

known as Parijs van Java (Dutch language) or "Paris of Java". Being situated in the highlands,

Bandung was known as a place of cool temperate. This makes the city of Bandung as one

tourist destination.

The Dutch spotted the potential of this lush, cool plateau and its fertile volcanic

slopes in the mid-seventeenth century, and set about cultivating coffee and rice here,

settling in the area to live in the early nineteenth century. Several relics from the city's

colonial era remain, including some of the elegant shops along Jalan Braga, and some fine

buildings on Jalan Asia-Afrika.

Places to visit

Mount Tangkuban Perahu

- A dormant volcano 30 km north of the city of Bandung, the provincial capital of

West Java, Indonesia. It last erupted in 1959. It is a popular tourist attraction

where tourists can hike or ride to the edge of the crater to view the hot water

springs and boiling mud up close, and buy eggs cooked on the hot surface. This

stratovolcano is on the island of Java and last erupted in 1983. Together with

Mount Burangrang and Bukit Tunggul, those are remnants of the ancient Mount

Sunda after the plinian eruption caused the Caldera to collapse.

Ciater Hot Springs

- Ciater Hot Spring is a nice park with small pools in which we can sit or swim. The

streams and pools are fed by warm mineral springs, which are created by the

heat from nearby volcanoes. About 30 minutes from Tangkuban Perahu crater.

Ciater is pretty little place in the middle of huge tea estate. Its main attraction is

the Sari Ater Hot Spring Resort; the pools are probably the best of all the hot

springs around Bandung. We can enjoy swimming in warm sulfurous water pools

that can heal rheumatism and skin problems. Here we can swim in warm mineral

water pools, good for healing skin problems. Ciater hot spring is a one stop place

for entertainment and relaxation. Ciater is located in Lembang, a green, lush

place. The water contains iodium and sulfur, well for curing skin ailments and

rheumatism. Equipped with tennis courts, restaurants, and camping area, Ciater

is a good way to retreat from every day's life.

Saung Angklung Udjo

- Established in 1966 by Udjo Ngalagena and his beloved wife Uum Sumiati, with a

strong purpose and dedication to conserve and preserve Sundanese traditional

art and culture. SAU illustrates nature and culture in harmony, its no wonder SAU

becomes a noticeable destination where people could experience Sundanese

culture as a part of world heritage. Located in eastern Bandung, SAU is a perfect

tranquility for enjoying fresh air and beautiful bamboo domination, from the

bamboo crafts and interiors to the sound of musical instruments.

Pasar Baru Trade Center

- Pasar Baru is a 7-storey market that houses local resellers of wide range of

products ranging from textile, garments, shoes to souvenirs, food and locally

produced decor items. Most items are bargainable. Pasar Baru is normally

crowded as soon as it opens in the morning until it closes around 5 pm. It is

popular among tourists from South-East Asia especially from Malaysia.

4. Cancellation

Any cancellation/ amendment will be documented and acknowledged receipt by

Sunset Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd. Deposit will not returnable and any flight ticket that

already purchased is not refundable.
