GOOD TO KNOW MEASUREMENTS

We have a wide range of PAX/KOMPLEMENT combinations to choose from which you can find in the store or on our website at IKEA.co.uk If you don’t find a pre-designed solution that you like, you can always use our PAX/KOMPLEMENT planner to create your own custom wardrobe instead.

Start by looking at the ready-made combinations at IKEA.co.uk and select one that you like best. This will give you a pre-designed combination that your can rearrange to suit your needs. For example, you can change the colour of the wardrobe, add in more shelves, or swap out rails for drawers.

The planner also allows you to create your own PAX/KOMPLEMENT combination from scratch. Here’s 3 simple things to keep in mind when creating your wardrobe:

1. How much space do you have? Consider how much space you have. It’s important to know the maximum height and width of your new wardrobe. Remember, corner units are excellent for making use of empty space.

2. What style or colour do you prefer? There’s a variety of styles and colours available, so take your time to find one that suits you.

3. What do you need to organise? Consider what you might need to store. If you’ve got a lot or shoes, a pull-out shoe rack is an excellent choice. If you have several pairs of trousers,

then a trouser hanger is a great idea. And if you keep your summer and winter clothing in the same place, then deep wire baskets are a practical option for keeping things organised.Once your happy with your chosen organisers, why not finish things off with a few inserts and accessories to keep things really tidy? Another addition to consider is lighting. It makes it even easier to see what’s what in the morning, especially so in the darker wintry months.

CHOOSE YOUR WARDROBE

Hard to know how much space your clothes will take?Here’s a useful guide of a few measurements and generic clothes sizes that could come in handy when planning your wardrobe.

1. Plan 21cm to fit SKUBB storage boxes.

2. Plan approx. 100cm for coats.

3. Plan approx. 80cm for shirts.

4. Short dresses needs approx. 120cm.

5. Longer clothing might need up to 190cm.

6. Plan 33cm for a pull-out shoe shelf.

7. Plan approx. 25cm for 10 folded t-shirts.

8. Plan approx. 30cm for 10 folded sweaters.

9. Plan approx. 60–70cm for hanging trousers.

HOW TO CHOOSE

With integrated lighting, you can leave the lights off in the morning and let your other half sleep soundly. For softer light, our LED strips fit inside your wardrobe, switching on as soon as you open the door. And for a cosier atmosphere, we offer

1. 10W, 3 connection sockets.

2. 30W, 9 connection sockets.

There are two LED drivers. Choose based on how many units you want to connect. You can connect up to 3 units to the 10W LED driver, as long as the total wattage does not exceed 10W. The 30W LED driver can support up to 9 units, max. wattage 30W. You can connect up to 10 drivers in one installation cord. Flashing lights indicate that the maximum wattage of the LED driver is exceeded. If you want to use more than one LED driver,

make sure to synchronise each LED driver with the TRÅDFRI wireless dimmer so that the entire combination can be dimmed at the same time. Make your cabinet lighting smart by adding the TRÅDFRI gateway. With the gateway, you can control your lights from the TRÅDFRI app and create a mood together with your other TRÅDFRI lighting.

COMBINATIONS

NORRFLY LED lighting strip is perfect for helping you see what’s in your wardrobe. Place the lighting strip under the top of the wardrobe or under any upper shelf so that the light can shine down. Besides a lighting strip, you can add cabinet lighting if you like, which is not only functional but also provides a nice light in the room when the wardrobe is closed.

HINGED DOORS SLIDING DOORS

If you have a wardrobe with sliding doors and a soft-closing mechanism under the top of the wardrobe, you need a lighting strip with a specific length when installing a lighting strip under the top of the cabinet. The mechanism needs 18cm, so the lighting strip must be shorter than the width of the wardrobe in order to fit. For frames with 75cm width, you need a 42cm long lighting strip, and for frames with 100cm width, choose a 67cm long lighting strip. When installing a lighting strip one shelf lower, ordinary sizes can be used.
