BWP/NAD FOAL REGISTRATION PACKET For Foals Not Attending a Keuring
! Dear Mare Owner;
Congratulations on the birth of your foal! We know this is an exciting time for you and we want to make the registration process as seamless as possible.
To qualify for registration with out inspection, both sire and dam of the foal must be approved with the BWP or BWP/NAD. You may attend a future keuring for branding up to the age of two and also enter yearling & 2YO futurities for inspection. Contact [email protected] if you have any questions about your registration options.
Please read the instructions carefully and be sure to provide all the required documents by November 15th of the foaling year to the following address:

You will need to provide the following documents:
1. DECLARATION OF BIRTH Be sure to sign in the spaces provided at the bottom of the form. The Breeder is the owner or lessee of the mare at the time of foaling.
2. MARKINGS DIAGRAM Please have a veterinarian complete the markings diagram. White markings are to be outlined in RED ink. Whorls, scars, brands and other markings should be noted in BLACK. Please note the whorls on the foals face, poll region, along the under side of the neck or throat and each side of the crest with an ‘X’.
3. BREEDING CERTIFICATE You must provide a breeding certificate from the stallion owner or contract for the purchase of semen and/or semen the bill of sale.
4. MEMBERSHIP FORM You must be a current Breeding Member to register a foal.
5. DNA KIT A DNA Kit will be emailed to you upon receipt of payment. The DNA instructions are on the kit (comprises of 2 pieces of paper) and should be mailed back to UC Davis at the designated address on the Kit.
6. PHOTOGRAPHS Four sided photos of the foal must be provided (front/back/left-right side).

7. PAYMENT Upon contacting the Registry with your information, an invoice will be emailed to you to be paid through Quick Books, PayPal located on the website at www.belgianwarmblood.com or by Check (made out to BWP/NAD) to be mailed along with your registration documents.

KEURING REGISTRATION
Keuring Registration must be submitted through the BWP/NAD Online Registration & through our PayPal. Visit the website www.belgianwarmblood.com to access the links. Owners must bring Original Papers and copies to the keurings for Mares & Stallions– FEI Passports are accepted if they have the original Breed Registration Number. All Breeds Pedigrees are not accepted in lieu of original papers.
These fees may vary year to year due to the fluctuation in the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Euro.
DNA testing is mandatory on All horses and will be kept by the BWP/NAD for Registration Verification.

*Foals registered without inspection must have completed paperwork submitted to the BWP/NAD no later than November 15 of the foaling year to qualify for foal pricing and Lifetime USEF Number. Both Sire and Dam must be BWP/NAD Registered to qualify for registration without inspection.
Foals by BWP/NAD & Non-BWP approved Stallions will need to have a Breeding Certificate issued from the Stallion Owner for Foal Registration. Frozen semen purchased from semen distributors may submit a semen purchase bill of sale in lieu of Breeding Certificate.
Foals must have a Declaration of Birth for Foal Registration and must have Original Signatures for Registration – No Faxed or emailed copies will be permitted for Declaration of Birth.
